Let me start with the plus side: The hotel is in the center of Sheung Wan; You can walk to the nearest MTR in 5 minutes through beautiful rows of small cafes and street vendors. It is also walkable to the Central-Mid Level escalator. You have a supermarket nearby, a sushi chain, a 24-hour McD, a tea shop, and even a massage parlor on the right, left, or across the hotel, which is very convenient if you plan to stay more than two days. Other tourist attractions are also close by and walkable from the hotel door. The check-in and check-out process was pretty smooth; We were initially asked for a considerable deposit but could negotiate the amount and paid only 1/3. Overall, the staff was excellent, friendly, and helpful. Despite some of the housekeeping staff not speaking English, they managed to help us. The washing machine on the 3rd floor is free to use, they also provided you with the soap, basket etc. But there are only two washing machines and two dryers, so keep this in mind when you do your laundry. Now, the downside: the mattress needed to be thrown away; The right and left edges had sunk so badly we were rolled out of bed; We had to stay in the middle, which was hard because the bed was small. The dusting work in the room was not thorough; If you have an allergy to dust, you must wipe all the surfaces yourself. Please check all cups and glass before you use them; Ours were dirty and stained. All in all, if you are looking for something near MTR, attractions, etc, and don't mind the inconvenience, then this hotel may be for you, but if you need a good night 's sleep after a long day of exploring, then I suggest finding something else worth your money.
