Grand Mercure Mysore

The hotel is a nice property with modern, western amenities and a flair of indian hospitality. The hotel offered nice extras like afternoon tea with snacks and morning yoga. However the teacher for morning yoga failed to show up. The room was nice and well insulated from outside sound. The room was lacking towels when we showed up and it took a while for housekeeping to bring some. The room was clean but there were spsot that could have been more detailed, like behind the sink. The staff was friendly and tried their best, but there were too many staff members that had a poor grasp of English and didnt understand our questions or requests. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay as long as you have a bit of patients

Buffet quality was poor with infrequent turnover of many items. Best to ask for certain items from the kitchen to ensure it’s fresh. Staff were excellent. Room was tired, so was the smoke smelling room I was transferred from. Definitely not 5 star hotel but at the price point it was fine. Would consider other 5 star options in Mysore next time.

Clean and cozy rooms with very responsive and respectful staff. The hotel is centrally located close to the railway station and most of Mysore's tourist points within 15-20 mins drive.

Should work on their housekeeping and service

Hotel is lovely and in a very central location, the check in wasn’t a good experience, we arrived to the hotel at 12 and were told we can check in is from 2pm however if we get back at 1pm we should be able to check in. We got back at 3pm and the room wasn’t ready until after just 4pm. There is a small shop not far from the hotel to get some bits if you need them. On the same road a few kms away by Tuk Tuk there a lots of nice restaurants. Hotel’s buffet was ok. In general it was a good stay.

Charged way too much for quality of property. Dirty and run down. We checked out of the property early as a result and they did honor yhe cancellation without charge.

Food was mediocre, rooms are rundown, sheets and pillows need upgrade. la uppu staff poor service and plates and cutlery were not clean. Very disappointed and will not stay again

Summary: Bad experience, pathetic service. - Booked a room with balcony, got a room without balcony. - Room service took forever to come. - Housekeeping didn’t come to clean the room nor replace the towels. - Average food.

The service at the reception desk, restaurant and spa was exceptional.

For what they charged the room did not have proper amenities and standard. There was not any hand towel and only big bath towels and three times asked them also and never brought it. Water temp was luke warm and they never attended to this. For what they charged in Mysuru and same I paid in Marriott chains even in Bangalore for a very good level of service and standard this is a piece of junk. Perhaps I will never look at thismplace again!

This experience was extremely disappointing. I paid a high price per night for a deluxe room with two twin beds, but instead, I was given a single-bed room. This is completely unacceptable and not what I paid for. I raised the issue with the staff and asked for a full refund, as they failed to provide the service I booked and paid for. If they do not refund me in full, I will have no choice but to file a formal complaint with the police. Such poor service and lack of accountability should not be tolerated.
