Hotel Kemps Corner

Besides the room being untidy with dingy fixtures the main problem is the rushed us out if our first room and I had complained that I left my AirPods in the room and to please check if they’re still there. They said nothing was found. Ok, maybe I’m mistaken. After that when I checked out if my second room days later, I had mistakenly left my chargers in the room. I am dealing with ADHD, I forget things sometimes but I have trying to reach out since days via calls and no one gets back. It’s an automated voicemail that keeps on going. I know I left it on left side of the bed but I’m furious they haven’t contacted me to return them or at least get back to me. The hotel was mildly satisfactory - there was mild and rust at multiple places (I’ve got pics.)

Everything great. Just one suggestion- the rooms need hand towels, not just bath towels.

Breakfast spread is really good and they even had complimentary foot massages. The rooms and the property were clean and the staff was polite and helpful. The only downside I had were the beds, a tad bit uncomfortable, but everything else was good.

I did not even stay in this hotel. There were bugs all over the room and they refused to refund my stay. I booked for 4 nights and they would not refund any Of the 4 nights. I could not communicate with them as they could not speak english.

Booked in a pinch when I found myself unexpectedly in South Mumbai for a night, mainly based on the location and the price. I’m glad that I did! Hotel Kemps Corner offered me great value for money. The hotel itself is a 3-4 star property. The room was tiny but well organised. It was clean and well maintained, with a nice comfy bed, big screen TV, and a clean modern bathroom. The design theme of my room (and maybe the hotel as a whole?) was nautical— that, combined with how small the room was, reminded me of a cruise ship cabin! The breakfast (on the 3rd floor roof terrace) was charming and gave the hotel a cute b-n-b vibe. Menu selection was fairly limited but tasty. The best part was that they include complimentary live music (flute) and foot massages— all done by the visually impaired as part of the Hotels collaboration with a local NGO or school for the blind. It was very cool and the foot massage was excellent. Donations are warmly welcome via an unobtrusive tip jar, but there is no pressure or awkwardness. Overall, a good stay at the price point and I’d consider it again or recommend it to others….

This hotel is a gem. I almost don’t want to tell anyone about it! The cozy rooms in this beautiful old building, comfy beds, peaceful surrounds, the most wonderful rooftop breakfast area, little garden and living room/reception. And, a clear low waste ethos. It has been our cocoon and a beautiful place to come ‘home’ to and relax in. Above all though, it is the staff who bring everything alive, humming and easy. The way they interact with us, their pride in their work and, how each person cares - true Mumbai culture which has made this stay extra special. Thank you all. We will be back.

Overall we had a good stay in a great location. We didn’t like that the geyser in room 309 heated the water to warm at best. Hopefully this will be fixed moving forward. While the staff were helpful, the general level of professionalism could be much higher in my opinion. We were woken up by calls to the room each morning asking if we wanted our room to be made. After asking not to call, we still received calls. One solution is guests could have a sign that they can hang on the door saying “Please make room”. This way no need for those morning calls. Finally, you have a night security guard named Ryan who speaks English fluently, and is more than helpful. In my opinion he should be the general manager or at least hold a senior position at the hotel. Again, overall we had a good stay and would recommend the hotel to family and friends. Thank you.

Do not stay here. Terrible hotel. Reception staff very unhelpful. We had booked two twin rooms. One was ok, the other was so cramped you had to step into the shower to close the toilet door. I ask to switch rooms and at first they said no, then yes, then no, then yes. They told me to pack up my room and when another room was available after cleaning they would take my bag to that room. They put me back in the same room! The kitchen staff were amazing, the breakfast was ok.

Pretty decent place with nice breakfast. Rooms are clean and well maintened. Only thing is room was too small. Location is good with parking.

Especially liked the large number of female staff. And the morning breakfast on the terrace.
