We had a great time at the Danna. The staff is incredible.great kids club for our son. Everyone was super helpful. The only thing I would say is that the hotel is a bit tired. Needs updating on many fronts. But overall we were very happy

We arecompletely amazed by this luxury hotel. From the staff to the facilities, everything is simply flawless.
The team truly goes out of their way to assist you and even remembers your name. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with complimentary massages and refreshing towels, a lovely touch! The check-in process was smooth and personalized, with no waiting in line.
Initially, we had booked the Merchant room with stunning Marina views, which was beautiful, but we were offered an upgrade to the Viceroy room with a sea view. We qualified for a complimentary upgrade, but for some reason, there was a charge, which was fine, and we don’t regret it at all.
The room was exceptional, featuring a four-poster bed and ample space. The bathroom was impressive with his and hers sinks.
Each room comes equipped with a Nespresso machine, which is fantastic. My only minor concern is that the mugs are quite large and don't fit properly under the machine, causing them to tilt. Unfortunately, when I left the machine unattended, the mug fell and broke. It might be wise to consider providing appropriately sized mugs to prevent any accidents.
The swimming pool was wonderful, offering plenty of areas to relax and unwind. Breakfast at the Planters was incredible! You can choose between à la carte and a beautifully arranged buffet. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!
There are numerous dining options available as well. I enjoyed tea and pastries at the Straits, which were delightful. We ordered

My wife and I spent three nights at The Danna Langkawi in late June 2025, and it was truly exceptional. Without a doubt, this is the finest hotel I've stayed at during my extensive travels across Southeast Asia. Our experience far exceeded both our expectations.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that guest care is at the heart of everything this hotel does. Malaysia is known for its 'Malaysian Hospitality,' and after living here for 18 months, I can confidently say The Danna embodies that ethos in every way.
Every aspect of the hotel reflects quality - from the superb food to the best cocktails we’ve had in the region. But what truly sets The Danna apart is its outstanding staff. They are genuinely attentive, thoughtful, and go above and beyond to make each guest feel special.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone at The Danna Langkawi. My wife and I are already looking forward to our next visit!

Theo thông báo của Cục Hải quan Hoàng gia Malaysia, Thuế Du lịch được áp dụng từ ngày 1 tháng 1 năm 2023 cho tất cả khách sạn không phải là người Malaysia hoặc không phải là thường trú nhân của Malaysia. Vui lòng mong đợi rằng khách sạn sẽ thu Thuế Du lịch từ bạn trong khi nhận phòng tại khách sạn. Mức thuế du lịch là 10 RM/phòng/đêm.

The new rate on Extra Bed for an adult will now be RM 280 per bed per night and for children (4-11yrs), it will be RM 110 per bed per night.

Langkawi is a small island, so renting a car is a must to explore—but honestly, we were so glad we chose to stay at The Danna! Our suite was absolutely perfect—beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and the water pressure in the shower was amazing!
We loved both the pool and the private beach—warm, relaxing, and the white sand was just stunning. The entire resort is immaculately kept, and the service is truly next level. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay special.
There’s even a lovely library on site, which was such a pleasant surprise! The location is great too—just a short drive from the famous Langkawi Cable Car.
From the food and drinks to the thoughtful amenities and outstanding hospitality, everything at The Danna is top-notch. Our family was genuinely so happy with our choice—we’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in sheer luxury. This resort is truly spectacular, offering an exquisite blend of elegance, impeccable service, and breathtaking surroundings.
The rooms are beautifully designed—spacious, supremely comfortable, and meticulously maintained. Every detail, from plush bedding to spotless décor, creates an atmosphere of serenity and indulgence.
The grounds are stunning, with picturesque landscapes enhancing the sense of escape. The pool is a true oasis, complemented by outstanding service that made every moment effortless.
Dining was an absolute delight. Each restaurant delivered outstanding cuisine and flawless service, but the pinnacle was a magical beachside dinner for my wife’s 50th birthday. The setting was breathtaking, with waves as the perfect backdrop, and our personal server ensured every detail was exceptional.
The Verandah Bar added to the experience, with attentive, engaging staff crafting expertly made drinks in a sophisticated setting.
The reception team was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive, ensuring every need was met with grace. The chauffeur service provided a seamless, elegant journey, adding to the resort’s refinement.
This resort epitomizes luxury—an unforgettable celebration of beauty, comfort, and hospitality at its finest.

Danna is a stunning hotel overlooking the sea & the biggest swimming pool I’ve seen in a hotel.
The staff are stupendous , always smiling & helpful with anything you need.
There are no shops or restaurants nearby so we always dined at the hotel.
Overall a brilliant stay.

The music in the hallways are too loud. We had to request for it to be turned down twice - once outside our room and the other outside the business center. While ambience is important it should not invade rooms. However, housekeeping responded immediately each time in keeping with their overall excellence in response to guest needs.

A 5 star facility with 3 star service. Way too many mistakes during our stay there and for the rates charged it is unfortunate. Besides a lot of very attentive staff they are clearly not well trained and we had many ups and downs on the service

Absolutely fabulous hotel on a beautiful beach and the lovely pool area. All the staff were lovely & friendly. Our room was on the 5th floor looking over the pool & beach, the views are stunning. Our room was huge, the bathroom had the best bath/shower area I’ve ever seen with views over the bay ! We tried the 3 different restaurants and all were good. All positive except one: there was a cigar smoking room next to the main bar which made the area smell of smoke, so unpleasant we couldn’t use this area in the evening. Also quite a few people were smoking in area where the restaurant was, again not pleasant. I would suggest that the manager control the smoking better. Apart from that we had a wonderful stay.

Beautiful colonial style building with centre courtyard gardens and an amazing 50m infinity pool.
Dining options however are limited which is a pity given the hotel is somewhat isolated and you will need to travel at least 20mins to get to a town with other restaurant/street market possibilities.
Staff were very helpfull.
Not enough sun-loungers around the pool which leads to the usual dawn grab by people. The hotel should actively discourage 'booking' of loungers to make it more equitable for all.

Stayed 5 nights in a princess beach villa and on the whole excellent service, with one or two things that let it down - we asked for a table to be reserved at the Terrace but it wasn’t made and upon appearing for dinner, no table for us, hastily thrown together which was very disappointing, and a bit embarrassing having to ask for condiments, cutlery etc.
Beach villa was lovely esp the pool, not cheap but worth it for the peace and privacy. In room dining was good and arrived quickly, not an extensive choice but good enough. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The buffet dinner was also varied and hot, with an excellent range of cuisines. Mini bar topped up daily, but fresh milk needs requesting if you enjoy tea/coffee. Our arrived in a tiny jug, but that was solved by requesting a whole carton instead. Two sun beds reserved in the beach for each villa which was lovely at the end of the afternoon. We didn’t use the main pool but it was always busy. The hotel has a range of trips and experiences on offer but we sourced our own.
Staff very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble, although we did need to chase up some items of laundry, not a big deal.
Taxis/Grab easily available, the SkyCab is close and very enjoyable.
On the whole, it was very enjoyable and relaxing with one or two things that let it down for us. Not the cheapest hotel on the island but for a treat, it met our needs despite one or two issues. We would return without a doubt.

We had a great time at the Danna. The staff is incredible.great kids club for our son. Everyone was super helpful. The only thing I would say is that the hotel is a bit tired. Needs updating on many fronts. But overall we were very happy

We arecompletely amazed by this luxury hotel. From the staff to the facilities, everything is simply flawless.
The team truly goes out of their way to assist you and even remembers your name. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with complimentary massages and refreshing towels, a lovely touch! The check-in process was smooth and personalized, with no waiting in line.
Initially, we had booked the Merchant room with stunning Marina views, which was beautiful, but we were offered an upgrade to the Viceroy room with a sea view. We qualified for a complimentary upgrade, but for some reason, there was a charge, which was fine, and we don’t regret it at all.
The room was exceptional, featuring a four-poster bed and ample space. The bathroom was impressive with his and hers sinks.
Each room comes equipped with a Nespresso machine, which is fantastic. My only minor concern is that the mugs are quite large and don't fit properly under the machine, causing them to tilt. Unfortunately, when I left the machine unattended, the mug fell and broke. It might be wise to consider providing appropriately sized mugs to prevent any accidents.
The swimming pool was wonderful, offering plenty of areas to relax and unwind. Breakfast at the Planters was incredible! You can choose between à la carte and a beautifully arranged buffet. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!
There are numerous dining options available as well. I enjoyed tea and pastries at the Straits, which were delightful. We ordered

My wife and I spent three nights at The Danna Langkawi in late June 2025, and it was truly exceptional. Without a doubt, this is the finest hotel I've stayed at during my extensive travels across Southeast Asia. Our experience far exceeded both our expectations.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that guest care is at the heart of everything this hotel does. Malaysia is known for its 'Malaysian Hospitality,' and after living here for 18 months, I can confidently say The Danna embodies that ethos in every way.
Every aspect of the hotel reflects quality - from the superb food to the best cocktails we’ve had in the region. But what truly sets The Danna apart is its outstanding staff. They are genuinely attentive, thoughtful, and go above and beyond to make each guest feel special.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone at The Danna Langkawi. My wife and I are already looking forward to our next visit!

Langkawi is a small island, so renting a car is a must to explore—but honestly, we were so glad we chose to stay at The Danna! Our suite was absolutely perfect—beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and the water pressure in the shower was amazing!
We loved both the pool and the private beach—warm, relaxing, and the white sand was just stunning. The entire resort is immaculately kept, and the service is truly next level. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay special.
There’s even a lovely library on site, which was such a pleasant surprise! The location is great too—just a short drive from the famous Langkawi Cable Car.
From the food and drinks to the thoughtful amenities and outstanding hospitality, everything at The Danna is top-notch. Our family was genuinely so happy with our choice—we’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

The rooms are beautifully designed—spacious, supremely comfortable, and meticulously maintained. Every detail, from plush bedding to spotless décor, creates an atmosphere of serenity and indulgence.
The grounds are stunning, with picturesque landscapes enhancing the sense of escape. The pool is a true oasis, complemented by outstanding service that made every moment effortless.
Dining was an absolute delight. Each restaurant delivered outstanding cuisine and flawless service, but the pinnacle was a magical beachside dinner for my wife’s 50th birthday. The setting was breathtaking, with waves as the perfect backdrop, and our personal server ensured every detail was exceptional.
The Verandah Bar added to the experience, with attentive, engaging staff crafting expertly made drinks in a sophisticated setting.
The reception team was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive, ensuring every need was met with grace. The chauffeur service provided a seamless, elegant journey, adding to the resort’s refinement.
This resort epitomizes luxury—an unforgettable celebration of beauty, comfort, and hospitality at its finest.

Danna is a stunning hotel overlooking the sea & the biggest swimming pool I’ve seen in a hotel.
The staff are stupendous , always smiling & helpful with anything you need.
There are no shops or restaurants nearby so we always dined at the hotel.
Overall a brilliant stay.

The music in the hallways are too loud. We had to request for it to be turned down twice - once outside our room and the other outside the business center. While ambience is important it should not invade rooms. However, housekeeping responded immediately each time in keeping with their overall excellence in response to guest needs.

A 5 star facility with 3 star service. Way too many mistakes during our stay there and for the rates charged it is unfortunate. Besides a lot of very attentive staff they are clearly not well trained and we had many ups and downs on the service

Absolutely fabulous hotel on a beautiful beach and the lovely pool area. All the staff were lovely & friendly. Our room was on the 5th floor looking over the pool & beach, the views are stunning. Our room was huge, the bathroom had the best bath/shower area I’ve ever seen with views over the bay ! We tried the 3 different restaurants and all were good. All positive except one: there was a cigar smoking room next to the main bar which made the area smell of smoke, so unpleasant we couldn’t use this area in the evening. Also quite a few people were smoking in area where the restaurant was, again not pleasant. I would suggest that the manager control the smoking better. Apart from that we had a wonderful stay.

Beautiful colonial style building with centre courtyard gardens and an amazing 50m infinity pool.
Dining options however are limited which is a pity given the hotel is somewhat isolated and you will need to travel at least 20mins to get to a town with other restaurant/street market possibilities.
Staff were very helpfull.
Not enough sun-loungers around the pool which leads to the usual dawn grab by people. The hotel should actively discourage 'booking' of loungers to make it more equitable for all.

Stayed 5 nights in a princess beach villa and on the whole excellent service, with one or two things that let it down - we asked for a table to be reserved at the Terrace but it wasn’t made and upon appearing for dinner, no table for us, hastily thrown together which was very disappointing, and a bit embarrassing having to ask for condiments, cutlery etc.
Beach villa was lovely esp the pool, not cheap but worth it for the peace and privacy. In room dining was good and arrived quickly, not an extensive choice but good enough. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The buffet dinner was also varied and hot, with an excellent range of cuisines. Mini bar topped up daily, but fresh milk needs requesting if you enjoy tea/coffee. Our arrived in a tiny jug, but that was solved by requesting a whole carton instead. Two sun beds reserved in the beach for each villa which was lovely at the end of the afternoon. We didn’t use the main pool but it was always busy. The hotel has a range of trips and experiences on offer but we sourced our own.
Staff very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble, although we did need to chase up some items of laundry, not a big deal.
Taxis/Grab easily available, the SkyCab is close and very enjoyable.
On the whole, it was very enjoyable and relaxing with one or two things that let it down for us. Not the cheapest hotel on the island but for a treat, it met our needs despite one or two issues. We would return without a doubt.
