Holbox Dream Beach Front Hotel

Very close to the beach and center. Convenient location. Hotel can use some renovation though.

The rooms were cute and clean. We loved the balcony with the swing. The hotel is right in the beach and close to most things in town.

The location to town is good. The location of the beach is not that good and the beach area felt small and tiny - also compared to other hotels. The pool area was acceptable as you can not suntan by the pool. But this goes for a lot of the hotels. The breakfast was really great and the rooms are quite nice if you a partial sea view room

La chambre faisait face à la mer, même si ce n’était pas la première sur le bord et c’était une belle vue et en entendait les vagues de l’intérieur de la chambre. En fait je pense que la chambre 7 est la mieux située, car elle est juste un peu plus loin du bar du bord de la mer qui peut être un peu bruyant. L’hotel est agréable avec une belle végétation au milieu.

Frühstück war jeden Tag dass, selbe meine Freundin darf kein Gluten essen und sie hatte deswegen nur Früchte als Option auf Nachfrage konnte man auch nichts einrichten. Waren dann immer außerhalb frühstücken wo es überall auch glutenfreies Brot gab :) Zimmer war sauber allerdings kam 3x ein penetranter Gülle Geruch aus den Abflüssen hoch für ein paar Stunden am Tag. Insgesamt wirkte das Hotel sehr runtergekommen und würde eine renorvierung gut tuen.

room was very nice and location is pretty close to town for restaurants and shopping. beach club is awesome with great service from Bob/o. room is clean and spotless. no hot water for sink but shower is strong and very hot. room AC gets very cold and we wished for a blanket. no TV in rooms. also. no wash clothes. breakfast was very good but it does get crowded

The hotel was neglected. Nothing related to the pictures. The main pool was closed the whole week. The place is dirty and rundown.

Room was OK. Beach was very nice. Location perfect. everyone on the staff was amazing especially at the beach club. Great job by Javi, Roxanne, and Lili.

Our room was beside the next door neighbour who was having a party late night, they were very noisy

Holbox dream is beautiful. Gorgeous grounds, lots of coconut trees, a few lights, it's own racoon. I received a room at the front of the hotel, the fardest from the beach, so I didn’t see it at all. I walked down there every day, and it's pretty, but the only time the mosquitoes don't eat you alive, when the sun is the highest. It also was full of sargassum on my last 2 days, that just baked on the sun. In spite of the small beach access from the hotel, it wasn’t cleaned up. Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy any time outdoors after the sun set, because the mosquitoes are literally unbearable. Even after applying a bottle of mosquito repellent. Hotelbis very clean, the ladies did a fantastic job every day. Not sure why they had to take a dozen pictures in the room of everything, daily. The room, bed is very clean and comfortable, but the shower is extremely slippery, being all stone, i think very dangerous. I only have 1 negative I have to mention, is how terrible the food is that comes out of the restaurant. Frozen pizza crust, heated meat on top, mediocre tacos, and the worst "fruit juice" i ever received. It was so bad, I actually had to send it back. It wasn’t wayered down, it was all water with a little juice for flavor, sold as fruit juice. It was yuck. The place is very nice, just go eat somewhere else. I really didn’t like that they close the pools at 6:30.

Wouldn't know about breakfast as even though it was included they claimed it wasn't. Reading online reviews this seems to be a common scam. Hotels.com support in regards to the matter was a joke, a complete joke. Several support agents claimed that breakfast wasn't included even though it clearly was. Finally an agent admitted its included but we're not getting it as we only have "breakfast" included and not the "continental breakfast" which was the only one they offered. Around day 3/4 of our stay support finally said we should have breakfast included and after hours of complaining they said they'll compensate us for the breakfast but only at the hotel if we provide receipts and they're able to confirm the price with the hotel, by this time they've tried calling and emailing the hotel on several days with no answer so I'm unsure how they'd reach them to confirm anything. I'm still waiting for some sort of compensation as I obviously had breakfast elsewhere to not contribute to the scam and spend good chunk of Pesos on it but I'm not holding my breath. Easily the worst customer service experience of my life, to make it clear, issue is Hotels.com support
