White Knight Hotel Intramuros

Let me start with the location. In the heart of Intramuros it was very effective for me as I had something to do around. The check in experience not the service you would expect the check in at 2 pm is understandable but then when you arrive at 1:40 pm and they bush you away and make you wait not expected to have a room but to do the process. The front desk agents not with positive attitude. The whole hotel is old make you feel like a creepy movie. The Ac work great and there’s hot water but the room is in poor conditions for the price not worthy. The bed made me feel dirty all night with the sensation of not being clean, the towels smelled chlorine and good quality something reassuring but the rust and mold in the toilet no. In general a disappointing stay for the price. But having in mind it was efficient in location for me at one night need is just “ok” I would not stay here again now they I know. And I can’t recommend.

2nd floor smells of food being cooked. Air conditioning placement is weird. No hygiene kit. No elevator. Bed is creaking.

I had a great time. It was very nice and comfortable. The room was very large.

The bed was not a mattress, just a box spring and we could feel the springs when lying down. The ceiling in the bathroom leaked, hence the floor was flooded. Add to that, the funk smell was overall. We asked for another room which was a bit better but not much. Hot water only sporadically and still horrible smell. Location was great.

Good stay but make sure you get a good nice Room.

I had a decent stay here, the room itself was great, no major issues, the toilet was backed up, but they fixed it easily... I was ground level, unfortunately, I could hear people talking in front of the windows, or even one night a dog/cat came in the hallway so that of course scared me awake. Additionally the walls were thin, so I could hear the neighbors coming and going at weird hours. But bed and mosquito net was appreciated (even if the frame on the mosquito net looked like it would fall any second), the air conditioner worked very well.

The staff were kind and young, the rooms were older and bed was not comfortable! There was no accommodation for parking your vehicle. It’s location is good for site seeing all the old churches and Spaniard buildings or if you need to go to Philippine immigration, not happy with construction work during the night! If I spend the night in Intramuros again I will probably try the Manila Hotel even though it’s much more expensive.

The only good thing good about this hotel is the convenience of being in the middle of all the great spots to visist. The staff if not very attentive, our room had a constant leak in bathroom sink (that had been there for a li g time....it also got the floors all wet and very slippery. We had no water or toilet paper and only 1 towel for 2 people..you are unable to open window/door to small deck. Very aged and no repairs are being done...sad because the location is fantastic!

You get what you pay for!! The price is good with a great surroundings of museum, church, fort and parks near by Walking distance to restaurants. But our room needed much TLC. No water in the room, no toilet paper, sink was leaking and the floor was soaking wet....thank goodness it was just 1 night.

It is in a prime tourist location but the room we were given was filthy. The AC had broken fins on the deflector which meant you could put your hand inside, the bed sagged in the middle, the windows had shutters over them sealed with Sellotape. There was no drinking water in the room and the fridge had been unplugged. No soap, no toilet paper in bathroom. Not what one would expect.

Ich war zu 5. mal im White Knight. Unverändert toll ist die Lage in Intramuros, die Athmosphäre des Hauses und dass man vieles, auch z.B. Chinatown, zu Fuß erreichen kann. Mittlerweile ist das Hotel aber ziemlich verwahrlost. Hier hätte schon vor 10 Jahren eine Grundrenovierung erfolgen sollen und heute ist es einfach verwarzt. Schade, es hat so viel Potential. Das Personal ist ebenfalls von Jahr zu Jahr schlechter geworden: bemüht, aber keine Ahnung von Service. Und zum Teil noch nicht einmal bemüht: als ich eine Bedienung gebeten habe, meinen regennassen Stuhl im Außenbereich trocken zu reiben, zuckte sie nur mit den Schultern. Ich musste mich dann in den überdachten, trockenen Bereich setzen.Ein Taxi zu organisieren brachte die "Rezeption" an den Rand ihrer Möglichkeiten. Zum Frühstück musste ich an die Rezeption gehen, um meine Order aufzugeben - kein Personal in Sicht. Das White Knight ist ein Hotel mit viel Potential für Charme, Atmosphäre und ein schönes Erlebnis, leider aber total heruntergewirtschaftet. Dies war mein letzter Besuch, irgenndwann ist es einfach genug.

A very dirty and poorly maintained property. Staff tried to claim the security deposit was not submitted and only returned after threat to contact police. I do not recommend this hotel.

no elevator! Parking was across the hotel in the church nearby but collects cash payment ( sketchy). Receptionist should give info about nraeby event like the famous cultural dinner show nearby. We are not aware about that we could have swing by and watch it. No hot water despite the portable switch for hot water on the shower. Its not working.

Chambre spacieuse, propre et avec rangements. Eau chaude et climatisation fonctionnelles.

Many broken things: tap, electrical sockets. Toilet and shower not clean. Noisy in the day because of nearby gym. Large room, quiet in the night (no trafic). Hotel wifi does not reach the room, have your own.

The location is great. However, there was no hot water available for a shower. Despite a change of room I had the same issue. And at one point there was no water in the shower at all so i had to use the bucket. Staff spoke limited english and could barely help with recommendations on where to dine and things to do in the area.

This hotel may have a tiny parking place but obviously avoid having a car. It is in the Spanish historical heart of the Philippines, next to the San Agustin church and museum and the Cervantes institute. It has some historical character and some beautiful features (ceiling, tiles). Room was large (maybe 30 m²) with storage and seats. Bathroom large and practical. Nice mattress. Doors can be improved : dirty and not closing well. The worst point: a lot of noise approximately from 11 to 18 h because of gym across the street. Very silent in the night.
