Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per 6 notti (camera 147, primo piano) e purtroppo l’esperienza è stata molto negativa, soprattutto in rapporto al prezzo pagato (circa 270 € a notte). L’accoglienza notturna è stata fredda e poco professionale. Il problema principale è stato il comfort della camera: il letto aveva una struttura inadeguata, senza doghe ma con un supporto in tessuto collassato verso il centro, che rendeva difficile dormire. I cuscini erano inconsistenti e il coprimaterasso impermeabile molto rumoroso. Dopo tre notti praticamente insonni abbiamo chiesto una soluzione, ma ci è stato detto che tutti i letti erano uguali. La camera aveva pochissima luce naturale, con affaccio su un cortile interno, e anche l’illuminazione artificiale era insufficiente. Nessun armadio né frigobar, solo un piccolo appendiabiti: per un soggiorno di più notti è scomodo. Tra i pochi aspetti positivi segnalo il silenzio della stanza e la presenza di una presa Schuko utile per usare un phon europeo. La colazione offre una discreta scelta e il cappuccino della macchinetta è sorprendentemente buono. Tuttavia gli spazi non sono adatti: tavolini bassi e poltrone vanno bene per un aperitivo, non per fare colazione. I posti sono pochi e spesso i tavoli non vengono puliti tra un ospite e l’altro. Dopo tre notti senza riposo abbiamo deciso di cambiare hotel. A questi prezzi, un’esperienza del genere non è accettabile

The rooms were lovely and staff really friendly, especially Stuart, who checked us in. The rooftop bar is gorgeous and would love to return in the summer and enjoy the view from the balcony. Also staff in the rooftop bar are very attentive, making sure your always topped up with fresh water and drinks

This was our first time in Scotland. Room was clean, heat and hot water worked well in room. Breakfast was a great deal and lots of options. Staff worked hard to keep it clean and full for breakfast. We ate once do dinner in hotel bar food was good. No complaints bout our stay at all. The rooftop bar is pretty and good cocktails.

Lobby staff were very friendly and helpful. Welcome drink on arrival was a nice touch. Room was comfortable. Room service was late and didn't bring new coffee sachets. Gym room was clean if basic. Handy location, about 10 or 15 minutes' walk to the city centre. Would stay again

Parecía ser mejor opción que la del hotal de al lado, The Hampton, pero todo lo contrario. La habitación no tenía armario, solo un perchero a la entrada y 5 perchas. Las sábanas eran pequeñas y al levantarte estabas encima del colchón. El aseo estaba adaptado para personas con movilidad reducida por lo que wc estaba bastante elevado y resultaba muy incómodo para hacer tus necesidades. Fallaron dos dias con las toallas. Eramos tres y en dos ocasiones nos pusieron solo dos juegos. Respecto al desayuno, horrible, además de tener pocas mesas para sentarse eran mesas para compartir y otras con mesas bajas, sin cubiertos, servilletas ni mantel o salvamantel. Un día tuviemos que esperar 1/2 para encontrar sitio y cuando fuimos a coger el desayuno tardaron lo suyo en reponer. Además sólo había 5 personas para atender a todos los que éramos. En fin, un desastre. Menos mal que al quejarme por el desayuno y la habitación nos devolvieron dinero. Era lo mínimo que se podía esperar. Por su puesto que no pienso repetir en este hotel. Marriot ya se puede poner las pilas porque para lo que se paga, el servicio pésimo.

Beautiful room, wonderful staff!

Prima ligging en vriendelijk personeel. Wij hadden helaas pech met de kamer. Het sofabed was erg slecht (dunne matras waardoor alle ijzers eronder voelbaar waren) en het hotel had er geen oplossing voor terwijl de manager wel aangaf dat hier al eerder over geklaagd was. Vreemd dat er dan niets aan wordt gedaan. Ook waren er net wat veel kleine dingen niet in orde (lampje stuk, slot van de deur stuk, schuifstang van de douch stuk). Daarnaast was er geen enkele opbergruimte (geen kastjes en ook geen plek om iets op te hangen) waardoor we alle spullen 5 dagen in onze koffer moesten laten. Niet heel handig. Het hotel ziet er verder wel gezellig en hip uit.

Room was clean and very comfortable, also quiet. Bathroom quite small but fine

The room was okay. Breakfast was good with lots of hot and cold choice. Only thing to let it down was the toilet , once flushed, kept leaking / filling all night.

Free hot chocolate in the evenings, early check in, really helpful staff.

Room was dirty / towels was dirty, constance noice from adjoining rooms and rooms above , over charged at the Roof top bar was told monies would be refunded still waiting 2days later !

Clean room, friendly staff.

The room was dirty, and the lock in the washroom didn’t work. When it did finally work, I got locked in and it took a while to get the door to open.
