Parador de Ferrol

Jeg var stort sett veldig fornøyd med oppholdet på Parador de Ferrol. Hotellet har en sjarmerende, klassisk atmosfære og ligger i rolige omgivelser. Rommet var komfortabelt og godt vedlikeholdt, og personalet var både hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Frokosten var god, og fellesområdene innbydende. Alt i alt et solid og behagelig opphold – kommer gjerne tilbake.

Opened 1960 and you get a feeling of the 1950's. Not in a bad way. The whole hotel has an aura of past elegance. Not particularly worn. With few exceptions the furniturecare in good shaoe

The staff was really nice and helpful. The location of the hotel is great to start the Camino de Santiago. The room was very clean and the food excellent

Fantastic property with wonderful staff and services. I look forward to returning to this property again. As an added bonus if you are walking the Camino Ingles-the path is right out the front door.

Lovely old building, great service, great breakfast, and nice area to walk around. Can find parking on street nearby or in front of the hotel. Nice views of water and close to naval museum, walkable…

Beautiful place to stay and a good place to start the Camino Ingles as it’s right on the route. The staff are very helpful especially the receptionist Marta who rang and sorted out a problem with the luggage company. Couldn’t have done more to assist me. Would love to treat myself to another stay.

The stay overall was excellent with a very good dinner followed by a good sleep in a comfortable bed. The room was equipped with everything that was needed and was clean but slightly tired and in need of decoration. All good so far, but the problem arose at breakfast. I had asked the receptionist the previous evening how much breakfast was as I believed that I had booked room only. He told me that my stay included breakfast so I enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning. However, when I went to reception to settle the bill, I had also been charged €19 for breakfast. I explained that I had checked the previous evening and was met with a tirade of abuse from the very aggressive woman on reception. This was embarrassing as it was in front on other guests waiting at reception too. I refused to pay and eventually she got the manager who apologised for their mistake and deducted the breakfast from the bill. What the hotel is doing allowing such a person with zero empathy for customer interest beats me. So, after a very satisfactory stay, it left a nasty taste in the mouth and I will not be staying there again, nor can I recommend the hotel either. Shame.

It was perfect for my stay before beginning the Camino Ingles.

No es de los paradores más grandes pero quizás eso lo hace más acogedor, a lo que contribuye el personal que allí trabaja. Sin duda volveré.

It was a beautiful hotel in Ferrol. A great start for our walk on the Camino de Santiago English way!
