Parador de Ferrol

Fantastic property with wonderful staff and services. I look forward to returning to this property again. As an added bonus if you are walking the Camino Ingles-the path is right out the front door.

Lovely old building, great service, great breakfast, and nice area to walk around. Can find parking on street nearby or in front of the hotel. Nice views of water and close to naval museum, walkable…

It was lovely and ideally located.

Beautiful place to stay and a good place to start the Camino Ingles as it’s right on the route. The staff are very helpful especially the receptionist Marta who rang and sorted out a problem with the luggage company. Couldn’t have done more to assist me. Would love to treat myself to another stay.

The stay overall was excellent with a very good dinner followed by a good sleep in a comfortable bed. The room was equipped with everything that was needed and was clean but slightly tired and in need of decoration. All good so far, but the problem arose at breakfast. I had asked the receptionist the previous evening how much breakfast was as I believed that I had booked room only. He told me that my stay included breakfast so I enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning. However, when I went to reception to settle the bill, I had also been charged €19 for breakfast. I explained that I had checked the previous evening and was met with a tirade of abuse from the very aggressive woman on reception. This was embarrassing as it was in front on other guests waiting at reception too. I refused to pay and eventually she got the manager who apologised for their mistake and deducted the breakfast from the bill. What the hotel is doing allowing such a person with zero empathy for customer interest beats me. So, after a very satisfactory stay, it left a nasty taste in the mouth and I will not be staying there again, nor can I recommend the hotel either. Shame.

It was perfect for my stay before beginning the Camino Ingles.

It was a beautiful hotel in Ferrol. A great start for our walk on the Camino de Santiago English way!

Excelente servicio, hubicaciin y limpieza

La estancia fue buena. Los trabajadores muy amables. Una pena la habitación ya que nos tocó una con vistas al patio interior y la temperatura cuando entramos era de 16 grados. Calor en el exterior y demasiado frío en la habitación.

We stayed 3nights at the Parador de Ferrol to rest after a long flight from Australia before starting to walk the Camino Ingles. It was a good decision as Ferrol is an interesting town. The Parador de Ferrol is certainly a beautiful hotel, reasonably priced, very comfortable and just a short 7minute walk to the starting point of the Camino. We loved the view from our bedroom window. Although near docklands, the perfectly restored warehouses, customs and naval buildings along the river lent a certain majesty, more so at night with the twinkling lights. Very close to great cafes, bars and restaurants. Shame about the frosty nature of the staff at check in and throughout our stay. Maybe they just didn't enjoy working there or had all forgotten how to smile.

Beautiful hotel in old style. Very good location.. beautiful view from the breakfast room. The breakfast was excellent. We loved to stay here.
