Embassy Suites by Hilton New York Manhattan Times Square

This hotel is perfectly fine, but not great. The first room we went to smelled like weed, and as it was late, we couldn’t go to another room until the next day. It isn’t really a suite like other embassy suites. There’s a partial wall separating the bed from the pull-out sofa. The rooms are very tight. Some of the furnishings are worn. But the towels were clean, the water was hot, and the staff was kind.

We got to the hotel and checked in easily. It was late. The room was small. In the morning we went for breakfast which was not overly appealing. When we got back to the room the room was flooded with a water leak from the room above. They moved use to the new room quickly. The staff was great. Upon check-out they offered a refund for one night because of our stuff getting wet and inconvenience of getting flooded. Now I am jumping through hoops to get our money back because I have to do it through Expedia and Expedia is impossible to reach about this. Expedia experience is worse that the hotel flood experience.

The Hotel has 39 floors and three elevators! We waited for the elevator at least ten minutes or more.When it finally came it was usually full and we would have to wait longer. The included breakfast is on the fourth floor. All three times we went to the dining area it was full, no seats! Waited 10 to 15 minutes to find a table. Also, to get to the dining area was always a challenge due to the lack of elevators! At night they have a wine tasting from 4:30 to 6:00 P.M. in the same room they have the breakfast. Needless to say you had to wait even longer to get an elevator to come to take you to the Lobby. When we arrived we were told we were charged a $30.00 a day Destination Fee! We were told that was for the internet and the daily wine tasting. We both do not drink and WiFi should be included. We were very disappointed in the stay and would never stay there again. I got really lucky and stayed at a higher floor - 28th - with a money shot view of the Empire State Building. From my bed!!

The property was immaculate. The rooms was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was great.

This hotel has TOTAL lack of management. Constatnt elevator issues, the front desk staff has a c omplete lack if training. No efficiency. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

The elevators are extremely slow? The evening reception is too short which makes it very crowded for a 30 or 40 floor hotel. A man came off the street and walked to the computer area which is near the lobby and very noisy and harassed my wife for money without staff seeing this.

Our room was not the best for view no natural sunlight. We were warned by the staff peak time for Breakfast the elevators are very busy. What I can say is that the staff at check-in and throughout my staff were very professional, friendly and polite. The young lady that really stood out to my husband and I on our stay was Keanna (I hope I spelled her name correctly). She was awesome a definite asset to the Embassy Suites. Just made our stay a lot better despite been giving a crappy room. She offered to have us change rooms the next day but couldn’t be bothered to having to move our stuff.

Le camere sono un po’ piccole ed una volta aperto il divano ci si muove con difficoltà, però non la ritengo fondamentale. Per il resto è pulita la colazione e abbondante anche se ci sono un po’ pochi tavoli. Il resto posizionato in centro è vicinissimo a tutte le metro.

Great location, walkable to the theater district, restaurants, and close to subways. Staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet and happy hour are a bonus. Would definitely stay again.

I liked this hotel and will stay here again. It was quiet in my room, a good location, and free breakfast.

Front desk staff was wonderful, friendly and efficient! Lobby was clean and inviting. The room was perfect and we enjoyed the view of the Empire State building! Breakfast was also very good.

Clean and comfortable room with many retail and food options nearby. The on-site restaurant has good options to choose from. I'd definitely stay here again.

Hôtel annoncé comme un 4 étoiles mais qui, dans son état actuel, correspond plutôt à un petit 3 étoiles. Le bâtiment est vieillissant et, comme souvent à New York, les chambres sont assez étroites. La douche pose vraiment problème : le jet est si faible qu’il devient difficile de se laver correctement les cheveux s’ils sont longs. Côté rangement, il y a tout juste de la place pour une valise. Autre point compliqué : l’attente interminable pour les ascenseurs. Aux heures de pointe, il faut parfois patienter de longues minutes, ce qui est particulièrement pénible quand on loge au 15e ou au 39e étage. Même difficulté le matin au petit-déjeuner : le nombre de tables est clairement insuffisant pour un hôtel de cette taille, et il faut souvent rester debout à attendre derrière une table qu’une personne termine pour espérer s’asseoir. Nous avons en plus dû écourter notre séjour après une panne électrique majeure qui a duré plus de 13 heures sans solution. Pendant tout ce temps, on nous a annoncé toutes les 15 minutes un retour imminent du courant, mais il n’est jamais revenu. En discutant avec un technicien, nous avons appris qu’une fuite d’eau avait endommagé les armoires électriques du bâtiment, rendant la remise en service très incertaine. L’hôtel semblait complètement dépassé par la situation, et il n’était plus possible de rester sans électricité ni confort aussi longtemps. Au final, même sans cet incident grave, le séjour n’était pas satisfaisant et je ne recommande pas.

We like the included breakfast and the happy hours if we were back at the hotel in time to partake convenient to the theater & the subway Far enough from Times Square to be away from the crowds
