This location is close to where my visits are and is close to businesses. The area was clean and the staff freindly.

Not very clean.

It was late so we stayed. The profile we saw on Hotels.com was completely different than what we were greeted with. Before the clerk checked us in, she left the desk to “go check the room.” Upon her return she informed us that she was switching our room. I wonder what the original room looked like! In our room one bed was bad and one was really bad and the room was filthy. We did inspect for bed bugs. Amazingly, there weren’t any. I know things get old and we have stayed in plenty of old, clean hotels in 42 years of marriage. There is no excuse for this hotel’s lack of cleanliness, disrepair, lights that work and its overall condition. This is a result of terrible ownership, terrible management, and terrible local ordinances. All should be ashamed, including Hotels.com. Please do not waste my time with a fake apology or promise to improve the property. Buy some paint, new beds, new carpet, new curtains, a truckload of cleaning products, then repair the plumbing and electrical, and hire new staff. Then you might actually have a hotel, depending on your purchasing skills and other abilities. Currently they don’t look too swift.

The rooms are not that clean. Found a chip bag in the room. Walls were disgusting. Awful smell all over this hotel.

Check in was smooth. The gal who stated she was the manager was pleasant and cordial. She explained they have some local riff raff she works hard at keeping away. A few families who moved out to the area and were having a tough time finding a place to live so there honest enough to say she had some concerns when she noticed were from New Mexico. I assured her we wouldn't cause any problems. She encouraged us to see the Christmas Lights on display near the river. She said they keep coffee full all times. Which i believe is true on her shifts. Not some of the employees shifts. I had gone to get some it was empty i informed the other lady and she was like we don't keep coffee on all nights, all the time. I said oh and left for my room.The room was nicer than expected. You can tell there have been updates. The bedding was wrinkled in a way it may have previously been used. I say this only because we checked out and had to return later in the week. We were given the same room and the bed looked the same.The next day after check in all the staffs attitude changed. As if they knew they had our money. Any time my husband and would walk in their eyes would shift away to not make eye contact or if we do say hi to them or acknowledge them or ask them for anything their tone was displeased and OMG the eye rolling was exaggerated no one could miss it. As many smoke breaks as they seem to take you would think that property would not be littered with them. The breakfasts were nothing.

I have never been in a motel that there was no phone. The tv didn't work right. The plugs by the bed didn't work.

The bed cover had a burn hole. The bathroom toilet paper holder was smeared with something. The sheets were very wrinkled. The door was extremely difficult to open. The girl working the desk even had trouble opening it. The light switch by the door didn’t work. The entire place was very run down. Walls needed paint.

The property needs to be cleaned around the hotel. There was trash behind it, the end towards the dumpster is a mess with trash strewn about. The room I had, the shower handle was gone. I told the staff; she did replace it but could not properly secure it, so it was loose. As it was a holiday, the handyman was off, I guess. There was no easy chair, just the desk chair, the AC leaked, but I was told about that in advance. They have no explanation why it leaks. The TV remotes are not the ones for the TV in the rooms. This is the second time I have stayed there and had the same issue. Rooms should be guest ready, all amenities working, available, and comfortable. If something is not working, missing, leaks, etc. it needs corrected before the guest checks in. I mean really, to have to ask for a control handle in order to use the shower, very inconvenient! I do enjoy my stays there; it is affordable and close to where my family is. It just needs attention to detail.

The room was cleaned but there was a disgusting stain on the carpet next to the bed, no toilet paper holder, unpainted repair in ceiling, blue stains on the bathtub. The price was double the norm because of a Scottish Festival in this small town. Loud neighbors. No coffee in the “breakfast” room because the coffee maker was broken. No good place to take my dog to do his business and stepping in other dog’s poo because there is no garbage nearby and people are lazy. Smoke detectors broken. Broken cover for heat/air. No chair for desk.

An event in town really booked up the lodging and we’re were happy to find this. Generally somewhat run down. One ice machine for the whole property and it was broken. If you asked, they gave a pint sized ziplock bag of ice. Coffee machine in the breakfast area also broken along with 1/2 the juice dispenser. TV worked mostly but not intuitive and no directions. But it was pretty clean and quiet. We were glad to get it for the one night we needed and not sorry it was only fur one night.

Bathroom sink and toilet were stopped up. We plunged for function. No elevator. 2 exits but only one way in. Carpet was nasty. Smokers had been in room.

The bed was very comfortable and possibly the cleanest part of the room. The carpet was stained but clean. Everything seemed to need an upgrade. The free breakfast was lacking - the third morning, there was no coffee. I could have made some in my room but I ran out of cups. For the price, I was satisfied with the conditions. And did I mention the bed was comfortable! I slept very well.

They were renovating sometime recently. In their renovations they attempted to make handicapped accommodations. If you are in a wheelchair, handicapped accommodations on the 2nd floor do no good. The room design is not wheelchair friendly and neither are the doors. The only thing that is, is the sink. The floors have linoleum thrown over wood? The wood was warped in areas. Holes in the floor that could be felt under the linoleum. The smoke alarm was missing and there were exposed wires in the ceiling. We did not notify the front desk because they overbooked & didn’t have room for some customers. We went to watch our son’s football game and had to have a place to stay. This was our 2nd & last stay here. 1st much like this. Unusual odor in halls. And there were roaches in the bathroom. Friendliness last time was worse than this time however the person at the front desk stared us down when we came in last night. It was very uncomfortable & unpleasant.

Dirty, dingy, dimly lit. Filthy carpet. Dirty bathtub. Makic marker drawimg on carpet. Desk cleck did not lnow Maine wad a state wjen he took my ID.

The beds were comfortable. The bath fan did not work. The ceiling smoke alarm was not connected and no cover, exposed wires. The shower curved curtain rod was about to pull out from the wall and hung over at least 4 inches with the curtain laying in the tub. The carpet had more stains on it than I could count. The chair in the corner had a massive stain on it. I would not have that in the room! It was unclean. I don’t think the carpets have been cleaned in years. The room smelled so bad, I had to get some air freshener to spray. The entrance door to the room needs adjusted, difficult to open & shut. The light switch for the bathroom needs replaced. I found the TV remote under the covers of the bed, this was after the concierge came to look. He brought another remote but it didn’t work. He was very nice & offered to put us in another room but I said it’s ok, I don’t see how any of the rooms could be any better. I just need a bed & a shower so am not staying in here all day. I came from Virginia to my Uncles funeral in Cave City. The brochure in the room said an ironing board & iron were available to use. When I enquirer about that, they said they don’t have any at this hotel, so I drove to Hampton Inn with my shirt & pants to use my aunts iron to do my clothes before the funeral. Disappointed to say the least. The stairs and corridor carpet was filthy, stains everywhere and I really don’t know why this hotel was not closed down, remodeled & updated!! AC worked very well

The end of the building had a bar-b-q grill there, no problem with that. It is that the area around there has a lot of trash built up there and looks bad. The trash, the trash cans, need to be picked up and dumped. The area around the dumpster was an eyesore as well. There was one trash can by the front entrance that I don't believe was dumped for several days.

Nastiest place on earth, Couldn’t even sleep there

Are room had cockroaches and the sink wouldn’t drain properly. We checked in are room stayed for a hour, when for lunch and stay out till after midnight. Came back to get ready for some sleep and noticed cockroaches in are room. So we checked out immediately after seeing them running across the tv stand.

They overbooked and cancelled my reservation causing me to have to make other arrangements last min which of course were more expensive
