The Kendall Hotel

Awesome. I don't care much for hotels too often, but this one really wowed me. Great place, great stay.

The staff was great when I found out the elevator was broken. Didn’t charge me for parking and offered to carry our bags. I was woken up at 1230am and multiple times after until 3am. The front desk staff went up to the room and told the high school kids to be quiet. I was very disappointed that was all they did. Offered the kids to come down to the lobby and be loud. When I mentioned the disturbances throughout the night I was given and apology but it was filled with we were once that age at one time. If you don’t need sleep and like to party then book this hotel. Greatly disappointed and won’t be recommending to anyone else.

Charming hotel, easy walking (if you like to walk) over across the river, helpful staff, and a great breakfast that was offered early, which I appreciated.

It was ok food I couldn't eat anything with my allergies to gluten dairy and nuts . So upset because I booked it thinking there would be options for me According to their description, the bed was comfy and the room was nice but hot since ac wasn't on . The parking was very pricey for the location of it was very very difficult to get in and out of parking area especially with snow .

Such a cute hotel!! Loved the decor, the complementary breakfast was great, our room was well appointed. Nice jacuzzi tub! Parking was tight in the garage so glad we chose my Jetta over his truck!! I would stay there again if the opportunity arose.

Fabulous location convenient to both Harvard Square and one stop over the river to Beacon Hill Back Bay area. Kendall Square neighborhood was fun and great local neighborhood restaurants. Staff was amazing.

Excellent historical property in Kendall Square convenient to the subway with direct service to Cambridge and Boston. Many firehouse-related historical objects and photos to take in - almost like a museum. Friendly staff. Well-furnished rooms. All in all, a great boutique hotel.

Attention to detail, right down to tne hair dryer.

This is my third time at this hotel and I love it. Will absolutely be back.

Hotel is beautiful, well preserved in the old firehouse and it’s very nicely decorated however they have a huge temp problem. We actually had to sleep with the door wedged open. The room was a furnace through the night. We went down to reception in the middle room of the night after a few hours of uncomfortable sleeping hoping that it would eventually cool down however it only got worse. We first try to call reception however the phones do not work. We tried all numbers on the index but phone just failed out. We went down to reception and explained that the building runs off a heat system which cannot be controlled room by room. Obviously staying in an old building it has its quirks but wow this really wasn’t great. They offered a fan to go along side the roof fan we already had on. We said we would love one and they were going to send maintenance up. This was about 4am we went downstairs however maintenance never needed up coming and no fan was brought up. This led us to leaving the door wedged open. On the same note you would think just add the a/c in however you cannot do that as you can only operate heat or cold air. The building was set to warm air so by turning on the ac it would only blow out hot air. Overall we loved the the look of the place however the experience and stay was very disappointing and when help was asked we did not receive great service. If you struggle with warmth when sleeping I wouldn’t recommend sleeping here. Big problems with broken heaters.

Great location, super comfortable bed, and great staff!

Loved the small intimate feel of the hotel. Breakfast was top notch and staff very friendly and welcoming. So glad that I didn’t stay at a big chain.

Very comfortable and convenient hotel near M.I.T buildings. Very nice buffet style breakfast.

Staff was wonderful and helped adjust our accommodations. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. Suite met all of our family of 4 needs.

Heating was too high and control was broken, no way to open the windows even to let the room cool a bit, it’s an old property with dated rooms. Unfortunately our experience was not good!

We enjoyed our stay at The Kendall Hotel in Cambridge. We stayed there once before and enjoyed our stay enough to come back again. The rooms are very clean, the staff is super friendly, and the breakfast was very tasty, and it is free with stay. The breakfast had both hot and cold offerings. The Kendall is located in a great, safe area. We will be back again.
