What can I say? Our entire stay at the Empress was outstanding from the delicious food to the accommodations and delightful wait staff!

We loved the beautiful grounds. The food was excellent. The staff very accommodating. Our room was spacious with a beautiful view of the harbor. We would definitely stay here again.

My room was poorly kept. There was mess in the toilet bowl that needed to be cleaned. We were days without liquid soap. Once we used bath cap and ear cleaner they were not replenished.

Beautiful stay at the Empress—lovely hotel with wonderful service and dining. Easy walk to the harbor and many restaurants.

This is my second time staying at The Empress and I just can’t say enough about how great of an experience it was. The property is gorgeous and the staff in Fairmont Gold area were exceptional. Can’t wait to go again.

I have always wanted to get back up to Victoria and stay at the Empress, and after 30+ years, I finally made it back there with my wife and daughter. It was as expected, excellent in every way. I highly recommend it.

Location is great. However the room space is really small, there’s odd smells in the room.

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is gorgeous! Our room was very clean and comfortable and the food and spa experience were wonderful! Tea at the Empress was a highlight! The staff consistently went above and beyond to make our stay special. Highly recommend!

Great location

Great location, and building. Only downside is not having a view of the Empress from your room.

There was only one restaurant open for breakfast. Food was good, but very expensive

A beautiful hotel with a rich history! You can't beat the view of the harbor and location for activities. Plus, the Visitor's Center, harbor taxies and tour busses are all within a block. The staff was so friendly and professional. The rooms were awesome, with great beds and pillows. My only complaint is that some rooms have you check in on the 1st floor vs the main lobby. However, the bell hops will assist you with getting you and your luggage there. If you drive a SUV, you won't be able to self-park in the garage. However, the staff will park your car for you in their private lot. I would highly recommend a stay at the Fairmont Empress. Don't forget to book tea!!

I had an amazing stay at the Fairmont Empress. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent throughout. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Victoria and close to everything. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
