Hotel is mid refurb. Room was big. Shower had a bit of a leak from the hose but was fine and powerful. Only real issue was noise from room above so request top floor if you go

On arrival, we went straight to our room. At first glance it seemed acceptable, although the bed looked like very little effort had been made in preparing it. We were hungry, so we went to the bar for drinks and food, which were reasonably priced. When we returned to the room later and got into bed, I went to the bathroom and noticed dirty towels in the shower. I would normally have gone to reception at that point, but it was late and we had an early start the next morning. In the morning, it became even clearer that the room had not been cleaned after the previous guests. There were no tea bags or supplies, and it was obvious we had slept in a bed that had not been changed. I went to reception to request fresh towels and tea items. The lady on duty was very apologetic and brought replacements immediately, which I appreciated. However, given the circumstances, I would have expected some form of acknowledgment or goodwill gesture, such as a partial refund. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won’t be staying again.

No room service. Beautiful bathroom but no-where to hang anything.

The hotel is undergoing some revamp work but the quality of the work is spot on. Amazing and clean rooms, the beds are incredibly comfortable and for myself being disabled and suffering with really bad back, neck and legs problems this was a god send as I find most hotel beds really uncomfortable. This is most certainly a hotel I will be coming back to and staying at everytime I come to the area which is often. The staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough wish I had tmfound this hotel alot sooner than where I normally stay!!

Nice Hotel

The hotel is undergoing a renovation at the moment but it is difficult to see where the refurbishment has been completed and where not. Our room was very sparse so if it has been renovated it is not properly finished. Also, we were looking forward to a quiet weekend break but only found out when we got there that an 80’s night was taking place on the Sunday which went on until well after midnight and disrupted our sleep. Don’t think we will be returning any time soon.

A 2 star hotel at the best. Disappointing as we had stopped here previously. The day did not start well, when we were kept waiting at reception, then informed parking was an extra charge.

Reception Staff were great, very pleasant, restaurant staff not so great, we waiting 15 mins to be seated for breakfast, breakfast was awful, Bacon not cooked, no eggs, Ants crawling on the bar where the pastries, cereals and juices were. The carpets on the corridors were absolutely filthy they were clearly having renovations carried out at the hotel which we were unaware off at the time of booking. We booked a superior room has we required a fridge only to find no fridge, no bottled water, no toiletries ( all had clearly been watered down). The mattress was hard and during the night doors were been slammed so not a great night. Would not recommend and will not be going back.

It's obvious the Hotel was undergoing renovations. When we arrived, it wasn't too obvious where the reception was, which was just a desk in the bar area. Our room was on the 1st floor, when coming out of the lift on that floor a room map would have been really useful. We (and another couple who arrived around the same time) were wondering around like lost souls trying to find our allotted room. The room itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Though there was no evacuation map on the back of the door (though when one stepped into the corridor, the route to safety was obvious). Our sleep was good. One last observation, when we left our room in the morning. We were loaded with a suitcase and several pieces of luggage. When going through a fire door on the way back to reception. My wife opened the door and held it open for me to follow, only to trip up on a single step down of about 10 cm height. My wife stumbled but didn't fall. A notice on the proceeding fire door would have alerted her to the step. Better signage would have helped. Having said that, we enjoyed our stay.

Outstanding service food was out of this world

The bar and reception areas have been renovated and are nice, a call out to the helpful and friendly bar staff too. However, the room itself was not acceptable. Both towels and bed sheets had marks on them, as did the carpet. Got in the shower, empty shower gel container. Nowhere in the bathroom to put anything. Both the mugs and glasses were dirty and dusty. The fire alarm in our room activated whilst we were asleep and woke us up in the middle of the night (it wasn’t us! and there wasn’t a fire or emergency). Although there are still renovations taking place and we had to walk a near 360 to get to the room, the room itself should be cleaned properly at a minimum. The price was cheap through Expedia, but wouldn’t recommend a stay.

Terrible as I have been parked overnight and someone has stolen my number plates from my car, awful experience, I recommend to avoid this hotel.

room was lovely and modern, unfortunately was a long walk to the room due to renovation works across the entire floor. Location was great, easy to get to the NEC from there with uber. Food was low point, very expensive and honestly the steak looked like a small burger in size and the mushy peas on the fish and chips looked like a snot smear on the bottom of the plate. Ended up eating elsewhere for rest of stay.

Rooms were recently renovated and they were clean and very nice. The hallways were being patched and painted, which is not a negative as they are simply updating the whole property. Would stay here again as it is conveniently located and very comfortable.

Clean Room, lovely newly refurbished, some areas still undergoing refurb/hallways etc with completed areas done to a great standard. Really helpful and friends staff / bar staff and a great stay. Thanks all
