We had a wonderful stay at Barceló! Everything was great, from the delicious dinners to the drinks and service at the bars. The resort was beautiful, and the staff made our experience enjoyable. The only thing to note is that the beach area in front of the resort has some rocks, so water shoes are helpful. However, if you take a short walk to the next resort, the beach is absolutely beautiful with a much smoother sandy area and perfect for enjoying the ocean. Overall, we had a great vacation and would definitely recommend Barceló for a relaxing getaway!

Our room was very clean. Excellent view, room 5801. The four restaurants are outstanding. Our favorite is Sapporo, with a close second Taco Bar, but Agave, La Comedie, and the Italian restaurant are superb. The pools are extremely clean and a great place to chill. The beach had a lot of sargassum, so we decided to hangout at the pools. We spent many nights playing cards at the Lobby bar and would highly recommend it. We cannot wait to return next year.

We had our company retreat here. Everyone was kind and helpful. The adults only side was perfect for work and play. There are four other resorts that are walkable or there is a shuttle that runs between them every 15 minutes. Each one having more food and entertainment options. Will definitely go again.

Barcelo adults only property is always kept in great shape. Staff is always working hard to keep it clean or take care of visitors. The view from the ocean front rooms are beautiful and the rooms are very spacious. Food has always been good, we are very happy with our stays here.

My five-day stay at Barceló Adults Only was an absolutely relaxing and luxurious escape. From the moment we arrived, the resort felt elegant, and peaceful. My ocean-view room was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, with breathtaking views that made every morning and evening feel special. The property was well maintained, the atmosphere was serene, and the adults-only setting created the perfect balance of sophistication and relaxation. We especially enjoyed the resort's pools, beach access, dining options, and attentive service; the experience felt elevated and effortless. Overall, Barceló provided the perfect setting for a five-day getaway. It was peaceful, beautiful, and luxurious without feeling overly formal. We left feeling refreshed and would gladly return for another adults-only oceanfront escape.

This was an absolutely wonderful resort and from beginning to end our experience was amazing! The room, the view, the pools, the beach, just everything was gorgeous. There’s 4 restaurants that are reservation only, there’s a buffet, and two pool bars. The food on the menu, or at least what we tried, were not bad at all. The selection at the buffet was pretty wide. One of pool bars played music and had activities for guests like water aerobics, dance lessons, and sports/games. There’s also 5 other resorts on this property under Barcelo and they offer shuttle service every 20mins if you want to visit them. We were told that if you book with the Maya Riviera Adults Only we can access all the amenities at the other resorts. We went to the Maya Palace and it was really nice there too. On the way there, we went to the mall and casino. Lastly, we want to commend the staff for their excellent service. Everyone was kind, ready to help with a smile, just beautiful people. 10 out 10 experience, highly recommended! Thank you!

The rooms were so clean, and the staff were very helpful! I had a jacuzzi on my balcony that was cleaned out for me upon request and after use each day. I love this resort! I WILL BE COMING BACK!

Barcelo Maya Riviera is hands down our favorite of all inclusive resorts! We stayed in May and again last week. The service is wonderful, rooms lovely and large. Excellent AC and wifi. Plenty of restaurant options. We ate twice at other hotel restaurants( on the Barcelo resort)… but prefer the ones onsite at the Adults only Riviera section. The seaweed was much better contained and cleaned this trip. The pools were very nice… a bit warm though (90-93 F) However, the pool beside the MusicBar was 86 F…. noticeably more refreshing. it has been very hot so far this summer. The only downside to this resort is the distance from the airport (50 mins without traffic). BUT it’s worth it! We will return again and again!

The best is the environment. Clean hotel, great with well maintained pools and beach areas. Excellent and prompt attention by the employees and wait staff. The food was just ok. A little above average but the policy of not taking food to the pool areas and no room services was a major letdown for me. And putting a set limit on the thermostat during the hot hot summer was very inconvenient. Overall was good but not perfect!

Everything was amazing other than the shuttle that was taking people from Hotel to Hotel. It was taken forever.

I’ve stayed at many resorts in Mexico in the past, but this was by far the best I’ve ever stayed. The amenities were amazing, the pools and beaches were beautiful, the rooms were modern and so clean and the beds were HUGE and so comfortable and the food was simply delicious. 10/10 recommended and will be going back!

Nuestra experiencia en el Barceló Maya Riviera, solo para adultos, fue muy buena. El hotel es agradable, moderno y cuenta con excelentes áreas públicas. La comida fue de muy buena calidad y los bares ofrecieron un servicio y una variedad excelentes. Las habitaciones y las instalaciones en general fueron cómodas, y el ambiente del hotel resulta ideal para descansar. Los espectáculos nocturnos también fueron buenos y aportaron entretenimiento durante la estancia. Hay algunos aspectos que podrían mejorar, especialmente el mantenimiento y la limpieza de ciertas zonas de la playa, así como una mayor variedad de actividades durante la noche. Sin embargo, estos detalles no afectaron significativamente nuestra experiencia. En general, es un hotel muy recomendable y ofrece una excelente relación calidad-precio.
