I’ve stayed at many resorts in Mexico in the past, but this was by far the best I’ve ever stayed. The amenities were amazing, the pools and beaches were beautiful, the rooms were modern and so clean and the beds were HUGE and so comfortable and the food was simply delicious. 10/10 recommended and will be going back!

One of the best vacations I have ever been to. Resort was extremely clean and very spacious. It literally felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves. If you are looking for a resort to relax, have great service, great food and great drinks, this is the place for you. We will definitely be coming back to this resort.

It is not very common to find the perfect hotel; I give Riviera Maya a 99%. We had the privilege of not only enjoying the adult only hotel where we stayed at but all of the other five hotels at Riviera Maya. Food was excellent, amazingly clean; but what made the experience unique was the staff. Every single staff member was friendly, helpful, and doing it all with great attitude. From the ladies that cleaned our room, to the man who helped with the TV, the women who resetted the safe for us, the restaurant workers, the ladies who helped with the restaurant reservations, the ladies who booked the tours, those that worked at the gift shops, those at the reception; so many...all with one goal: make our stay the best enjoyable experience. Visiting during the World Cup, seeing the celebration as Mexico won their game made it special. And yes, the daily one hour concerts at night at the Riviera adults only sealed each night with great music. In my specific case, as I am on a special diet, even the chefs did their best to accommodate my restrictions and I enjoyed some delicious food. I would definitely recommend the Barcelo hotels! Thank you for a wonderful six days!!

Nuestra experiencia en el Barceló Maya Riviera, solo para adultos, fue muy buena. El hotel es agradable, moderno y cuenta con excelentes áreas públicas. La comida fue de muy buena calidad y los bares ofrecieron un servicio y una variedad excelentes. Las habitaciones y las instalaciones en general fueron cómodas, y el ambiente del hotel resulta ideal para descansar. Los espectáculos nocturnos también fueron buenos y aportaron entretenimiento durante la estancia. Hay algunos aspectos que podrían mejorar, especialmente el mantenimiento y la limpieza de ciertas zonas de la playa, así como una mayor variedad de actividades durante la noche. Sin embargo, estos detalles no afectaron significativamente nuestra experiencia. En general, es un hotel muy recomendable y ofrece una excelente relación calidad-precio.

Overall, our experience at Barcelo was good. The restaurants were great, the resort is stunning, very clean, etc. However, there are things that could be worked on that could make it better. I did feel like the service could’ve been a bit better. Normally at other hotels we stayed at in Cancun the servers working the pool area constantly asked how they can help you. During our stay here we got asked about twice. Also, normally at other stays when they drop off the luggage in your room, the person usually explains the room amenities to you, that didn’t happen here. Other little things like that. Breakfast buffet variety could be better, also they close at 6pm while the other buffets at the other hotels close later, so if you were looking for a evening snack you would have to go to another hotel. The lobby bar could be better in the sense that they could offer more in my opinion. All in all, Barcelo is a beautiful resort, it is like it’s own little town there, since they offer a lot for guests to do in terms of experiences.

Beautiful location, ok food. Ac was not the best. Outdoor furniture was uncomfortable. Noise was a big issue, sound travel. Screaming was a constant problem at early morning hours. Pool was nice, no shade.

Excelente hotel, nada que decir malo de el. Muy buena atención de todo el personal. Las habitaciones siempre impecables, el restaurante excelente variedad de comida y limpieza en general la mejor que he visto en todos los hoteles que he estado. Vuelvo de nuevo al igual que el resto de toda mi familia que fue conmigo.

Very nice hotel, very clean, staff was cleaning the property constantly! The food was good, I think we went off season because every night they only had one restaurant open. Buffet was open for breakfast and lunch and they had plenty of options! I wish they had a good coffee shop or at least coffee syrups, I don’t like sugar in my lattes, which was the only options to sweeten you coffee. This was labeled as a VIP property but it’s not. So don’t book for that, we weren’t given any VIP perks. Other than that good hotel, with a beautiful beach!

We had an excellent stay here. The room was great, comfortable bed and kept immaculately clean by the staff. Pools were large and spacious, clean as well. The restaurants were wonderful - highly recommend the hibachi and the mexican restaurant, but should note that usually only 1 or 2 is open each night, at least during the season we were there. The buffet was just fine, pretty standard for an all inclusive in my opinion. Overall, would happily stay here again any time. Should also note that staying here gets you access to all the other Barcelo resorts on property - we did not take big advantage of this, but if I went back I would try to further explore. You can walk to most of them but there is also a bus that comes by every 15 minutes.
