ibis budget Birmingham Centre

This is the worst hotel ever in my life.I booked 5 day here in Room 353.On day 4 at noon ,one blonde hair staff knock my room door twice time and told me is time to check out(Impolite attitude).I suppose that she want cleaning my room so i reply her’ok wait few second ‘,then i change clothes and ready go out during the other short hair cleaner knock door and say i need check out again.Then i reply her i have booked 5 days,why i need to do that and prove it my booking information.after that she just say “oh is mistake ,you can go back to sleep”. Two staff haven’t any apology to me and go back their job as usual.I wonder why i had pay £485 for living then give me unprofessional service,my room hygiene is awful ,toilet have some silverfish, and cleaning not completely, never refill shower gel. When i check in first day at noght ,the front desk guy just give me key card and room no. no more presentation to me. Breakfast slightly better hostel(fruit and croissants )but not worth it £8.5.Overall to say, I highly not recommend live in this awful Hotel. Expensive but mess up my trip.

Good location near O2 Academy if you want to go to concert but room is tiny and bathroom toilet is so small.

No kettle in the room,has to go down the ground floor each time,

Bed comfy. Bathroom was small. Lift made some concerning noises.

The room was spotless and silent at night

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Full of prostitutes & undesirables. Rooms are disgusting, smelly & feel like a hospital ward not a hotel

The room was horrible. It may have been a 'budget' hotel but 81 pounds mid week in February? Also, 10 pounds for parking!! The room was cold and noisy I will never stay here again and i will recommend that other people stay away. Absolutely no redeeming features.

Clean room and brilliant staff including cleaning staff!

I came from the other side of the world, walked into the front desk, just spoke a few words and I got a welcoming, helpful, wonderful, nice and friendly staffs vibes. They set me in a newly remodeled room. Had great conversations with all staffs throughout my whole week of stayed. Recommend if you want to stay at a nice and friendly hotel in Birmingham.

Great location - less than 5min walk to some shops/restaurants, about 10min walk to reach Chinatown and around 15mins to Birmingham New St Station. Great location if you are on foot! The staff were very helpful. Room was a good size and clean. The shower was very powerful and hot at all times. Unfortunately there was no kettle in the room, but there was a hot drinks machine in the lobby, charging £2.30 a drink. Unusually you have to ask at reception for a hairdryer. There were free ironing facilities, which was much appreciated.

Fine for the price

Your staff were very good and very caring and helpful at the reception desk. It was the Hotel.com that I have a problem with. Your room was clean and value for money.

You get what you pay for - fine for the price we paid (~£50).

It might be "Budget", don't let that title fool you. This hotel offers great service, clean rooms, and a continental breakfast, at a fantastic rate. Central and very good value.

Clean, tidy room. Good pressure in shower. Coffee machine and pizza avaliable 24/7. Staff were lovely, couldn't fault them. 15 minute walk to everything. A brilliant stay for price. Would take a travel kettle for the room next time!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful The cleanliness of the room let the stay down - hairs in the bed, on the pillows and stuck to the sheets were a big letdown!

I realised it late that it is a two star hotel only. There are parts of the premises that has not been cleaned in a long time. For example the door hinges on the toilet door are full of dust, the fan seemed mouldy and did not work. There was no rugs in the room so the floor was really cold. Breakfast was a disappointment, it was supposed to be continental, but cold meat was not served. It did not worth the 9 pounds at all.
