ibis budget Birmingham Centre

Firstly I’d say, the staff were lovely. Check-in was easy and they were very friendly and polite. Downhill from there. I’d say I’ve stayed a quite a variety of hotels in my time of all budgets. This felt like I was staying in a supply cupboard in an office. The window was slightly bigger than a cat flap. The sink was in the room like a prison cell, the toilet in a little cupboard and as for the shower, it was an introduction to what my final resting place may feel like. If you’re claustrophobic don’t even bother. Air conditioning didn’t work - it was the hottest day of the year. Not that it wasn’t blowing cold, it wasn’t blowing at all. So in combination of the weather, the cat flap window and lack of AC, sleeping in there would have been comfier with a serial killer with a fetish for breath play. I dunno, even though this was a budget hotel, I still kinda hoped there would be at least a bottle of water. Naa, just two paper cups to fill at your prison cell sink. Didn’t take any pictures as they would have been ugly enough to ruin my phone camera. 10/10 will avoid like the plague.

If you’re relying on laundry that it SAYS they have, they don’t have any. They tell you to walk down the street. And they did not care that they say they have laundry facilities on Expedia. Also the elevator was broken when we were there and there was a huge line to go up.

For the price, I am definitely pleased. Clean and efficient, and I had a quiet night's sleep.

Small and busy parking lot, no fried food for the continental breakfast, very cold rooms, and worst of all you could hear a lot of the plumbing movement in the walls and under the sink. Don't recommend.

Great hotel near Chinatown and the gay village and literally a 30 second walk from the O2 academy which is why we were there Great hotel great staff highly recommended

It's a great location, easy walking distance from New Street. The room was.quite small but perfect for a solo traveller for one night. It was clean and functional, with a toilet and shower. The bed was comfy (fairly hard mattress which I prefer). No complaints at all, it's great as a cheap option if you're in town for an event.

Had a refurbished room and although small and basic, exceptionally clean and ideal for a quick overnight stay. Staff were all friendly and helpful, particularly the lady at breakfast. Onsite parking safe and wide spaces. Would happily use again

Helpful staff i couldn't find the light switch in renovated room which was clean and tidy the shower and toilet were spotless. Good value for money would definitely consider staying again in the future. Friendly suggestion that a soap dish and litter bin would have been my personal choice

Guy working at the dest was a complete ass. Should not be allowed to work with people on any level. The rest of the staff were very pleasant.

Parking should have EV chargers. Breakfast fine.

Everything was good/great except breakfast didn’t have much variety.

Excellent location for the o2 academy, and Birminghams China town

Clean, refurbished room and kind, helpful staff. Breakfast was poor for a budget hotel, the lift felt unsafe, shower pressure was very low, and the room stayed cold with the thermostat not working properly.

Excellent stay. Reached before the check in time but they had a storage to store my bag which was convenient as I didn’t want to carry my luggage around the shopping centre. About 10mins walk from bullring. Clean room and great staff. Only thing I would advise is for the guests to be provided slippers in the hotel room. Other than that, everything was perfect and the room was clean too. Great staff and security was present and kind which made me feel safe. Would visit again.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Our room was a newly refurbished one on the 5th floor. Very clean and fresh looking, if a little sparse. No tea and coffee making facilities. Good shower although water pressure not great. Easy parking in on-site car park £10 for 24 hours. Good location. Didn't have breakfast. Would stay here again

Beds were very uncomfortable and the hotel was very noisy

Value for money is excellent. Room is basic. Toilet isn’t great, aesthetics not great but size and price is excellent. Staff were super friendly too.
