Happy to have an upgrade. The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable.

Shout out to Freddie and Alex and also staff at the breakfast. Comfy and cosy hotel with spacious rooms.

I booked a Club Deluxe room which was nice and spacious. I know that the bath and shower are inside the bedroom with no walls before I booked and thought thats fine as I was staying by myself anyways.

Booked the stay last minute for the Jazz Festival,and so glad we chose Malmaison. Alex at the front desk was fantastic,friendly and very welcoming and we were also able to park in the underground garage. We stayed in a Club deluxe room which was amazing,overall couldn’t fault anything,this hotel will now be our go to hotel in Cheltenham.

The room and bathroom were very clean, as was the hotel in general. Our only disappointment was the standard of service at breakfast; whilst the food was excellent the service left a bit to be desired and the waitress was thoroughly miserable. She appeared to focus on table cleaning around us rather than being attentive to guests’ needs. Thankfully our breakfast was not contaminated by the cleaning fluid that she was using at an adjacent table.

Breakfast menu was quite lean on the cold/continental menu but had varied with the hot food. Could do better with the continental breakfast section. Take note that parking isn’t free or complimentary.

Booked a Junior Suite and very disappointed with the room - bed was very uncomfortable, walls very thin so kept awake for most of the night with noises in the corridor and adjacent rooms, room amenities were outdated and poorly maintained.

When we arrived the air conditioning was on in our room and it was so cold. It was cold outside so I have no idea why it had been left on. As you entered the hotel it was so warm then going into our room was very uncomfortable. Staff did come up and said it would take some time to warm up which it did so sadly the only time we really spent in the room it was freezing. Also it was incredibly difficult to get ready. The room was so dark and what lights there were barely lit the room. Even the bathroom was dark. As a woman we do need light to get ready but even my boyfriend found it frustrating. The room was clean and the staff were nice. We went downstairs to sit in the bar and the leg snapped off the sofa so I ended up on the floor! Staff seemed unbothered and just moved the sofa. The room was warm by the time we got back to sleep later so that was something. Breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly enough. Due to the disappointing room I doubt we would return. Plenty of other options in Cheltenham.

Nice enough, but nothing special. A couple of little things made it 4 stars not 5- we only had one towel between two of us, the water pressure from the tap was very poor, the lights seemed to not be working all fully, and we couldn’t seem to turn the extractor fan off completely! But the bed was comfy enough and the room was clean. The room was also quiet, we had no road noise.

It’s in the right part of Cheltenham. Close enough to Montpellier, but not so close it’s outside. 20 minute walk from Cheltenham Spa train station, or catch a cab.

The staff made our springer spaniel very welcome!

Love the vibe at the Mal in Cheltenham. Rooms great, and staff are excellent!

The hotel was lovely and well kept and the staff were very polite. However the 'cosy room' I booked was FAR FAR too small for the £143 I paid, it was at times just too small for two adults with bags to move around in.

The room was very small no room at one side of the bed for a bedside table or shelf so had to place phone and drink on floor No safe in room

I am afraid, apart from the food, the stay was disappointing. The place was exceptionally noisy until gone midnight due to a private party - but with a 14 month old this made the stay unbearable. The music was pounding and the whole room was vibrating. Very expensive for what was far worse quality sleep than a Holiday Inn.
