Great location! Around 5 mins walk from the rail station. The room is premium and large. Well equipped with everything you need (except I didn't see a fridge though). The breakfast is nice exceythe black pudding is a bit dry. Two things I was not that satisfied. 1) there's some kind of smell like humidity. But ofc I got used to it in 5 mins... 2) I sometimes heard leaking (should be water going from the tubes but sounds like leaking). However all the rests are above my expectations so I still rate 5 star.

The hotel is located 5 minutes from the station and quite close to the city center. There are also many delicious food nearby. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

We didn’t have Breakfast this time , It’s a lovely modern hotel with great staff, Everything we required was within walking distance , sadly no discounts available now from the NCP car park close by(£40) for 24hrs , You would need to book early for hotel parking as they only have 7 places

Says parking available but fully booked for weeks. Only people who book dorect with them get 12pm checkout as i booked via 3rd party have to pay extra. Not helpful staff.

I'd definitely stay at this location again. The check-in process was fast and friendly and the layout of the hotel was logical and it was easy getting around (I only mention this because the Radisson nearby in York where we previously stayed was a rabbit warren). The room we got was pretty amazing, the best we had over the course of staying in York and Edinburgh. It was huge with a King size bed and helpful USB-C outlets near the bed. The TV was hidden by art with a nifty slide to open and I was able to stream my phone easily onto the TV which was the first time this actually worked at any of the hotels we stayed. Outside the window, we could watch people walking on York's famous defensive wall around the old town. The bar and restaurant downstairs were excellent and quite atmospheric. We were too exhausted on the last night of our trip to leave the premises, so we decided to eat at the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the flat iron steak I received and the price was reasonable. We did try to eat at the hotel for breakfast the next morning, but we hadn't pre-paid and this seemed to cause some issues so we went to the nearby Perky Peacock. This was the only issue in an otherwise perfect stay. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel and close to the centre

Well located hotel, very walkable to everything. Beware they only have 7 car park spaces (chargeable) and parking locally is very expensive - we street parked and got a bus in and out. Nice bar and restaurant areas. No dairy free yogurt or anything at breakfast but nice fruit and good menu to order from. Felt a shame that you can’t even go in the corner of the open restaurant area with dog for breakfast.

We come to york several times a year and this time was specifically for our 8 year wedding anniversary... Reception was clean and helpful. The suite, which we stayed in had a stained sofa, broken draws and unlockable bathroom door! AND you have to force the the main door to ensure it deadlocked!!!! (Room 401), no info on mini bar i had to go down just to get information. Room was far from "sound proof" we heard everything and that is people in other rooms, water running & people in the hallway ALL NIGHT LONG!. Soma treated me and my wife awful when we came up to have some drinks. The only saving grace was the downstairs restaurant, the young lad who served us yesterday (02/05/26) was amazing and very thoughtful. We would not choose to stay here again
