We had a relaxing couple of days. The staff were first class. Our room was clean & spacious with a lovely double kingsize bed. The service was spot on the food was of good quality,fresh & local I believe.the spa facilities are good and inclusive with extra treatments available for a fee. We came away from there feeling relaxed & refreshed. Would we go back…yes Would we recommend…yes Is there room for improvement..if there is, not by much.

Beautiful location with large rooms looking over Grassmere lake. The decor is clean fresh with great choice of colours. Super king bed was very comfortable and room temperature perfect. The artwork on all the walls is enjoyable and like being in a private gallery. Staff were all very informative and friendly, Ronny in the restaurant was particularly great. The food choice for breakfast is plentiful and although dinner menu small the food is beautifully prepared and presented. My only personal comment is that it would have been nice to have included a side of vegetables in the price rather than as an extra. Housekeeping spot on. The spa is spacious with thermal pool ( not really for swimming) sauna and steam room . Lovely after a day of activities. The grounds are well maintained and terrace provides a sunny location to relax and enjoy the views, or if feeling active you can access the lake for a cold water dip or launch your kayak .

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The room and the entire property were exceptionally clean, and everything was well-organised and easily accessible. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. Our room view was truly magnificent, overlooking beautiful green scenery which made the experience even more special. Upon check-out, we were warmly greeted by Moses at reception. He was very friendly and professional, and kindly recommended some lovely places for us to visit before heading back to Liverpool. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and we will definitely be visiting again.

Brilliant stay. Lovely staff at breakfast and checkout. Very clean and quiet room. Stunning views and facilities. We were made to feel very welcome. So peaceful and relaxing. Would stay again!

Ambience, staff and food were AOK. The room was OK except that bed was uncomfortable, cloaks were inadequate and sink was too small.

Overall hotel was very clean, staff are amazing make you feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was lovely didn’t wait long at all. Would highly recommend this hotel for a nice chilled and relaxing stay.

A clean and welcoming hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable with a good bathroom (though I would have welcomed a shaving mirror). The lounge and restaurant were pleasant. Breakfast was good but I was less impressed by the evening meal so went elsewhere as a result. Spa facilities were a welcome bonus. Great setting, particularly for local walks. Beautiful views. All in all, highly recommended.

When we arrived the reception staff was so lovely. We were travelling with my 10 month old son and they were so kind and attentive to him. It was so appreciated. The room was great, nice big bed and a cot for my baby. I like that the shower was separate from the bath too. I used the spa. Sauna and steam room are great and the changing rooms were clean and well equipped

We chose this hotel based on its “premium” positioning and paid over £240 expecting a high standard experience. Unfortunately, the reality fell significantly short. There were a few positives — the staff were friendly and attentive — and the room was clean. However, beyond that, the hotel felt tired, dated, and far from premium. The room itself was very basic, with unusual black and mustard décor that felt dark and uninviting. The bed, advertised as “premium,” was clearly old, with visible cracks and simply covered by a wrap-around sheet. The bedding was advertised as Egyptian cotton, but this did not appear to be the case. Basic amenities were also lacking — no fridge, no coffee machine, just Tetley tea bags and Nestlé sachets, which is unacceptable at this price point. Our room overlooked a car park with a large industrial air conditioning unit, and due to people being able to see in from outside and neighbouring areas, we had to keep the curtains closed most of the time, which significantly impacted our stay. The bathroom had mold. Room had broken door The spa facilities were extremely small for the size of the hotel, making the experience feel overcrowded and underwhelming. Breakfast was very disappointing. The quality of ingredients was poor, guests were limited to one piece of toast, and eggs were served plainly on a single slice with no presentation. The tea was weak and tasteless, the buffet felt minimal

Lovely hotel and spa. Lovely room with massive bed. Had a relaxing stay. Meals were tasty but overall a very expensive couple days .

Lovely polite friendly staff. spotless spacious room with a pretty view & lovely little touches throughout the hotel. Free onsite parking, Spa was a real treat - open til 8pm which is fab after a day of exploring. Only negative was the coffee at breakfast was very weak but coffee machine was better!

Very easy

The Daffodil Hotel is a really decent hotel, we came for our little honeymoon. Room was very clean, reception staff very welcoming and the beds are comfortable. We loved the view from our window of the lake and hills. Gorgeous location! Only issues was we had no fridge in our room, not having somewhere cold to store our 'bottled gifts' we brought from our wedding was disappointing. Also the reception lounge bar was closed constantly, its a shame as we fancied a nice cocktail and snack to celebrate, the actual restaurant was a bit too pricey for us.

We went for relaxing night away and we coulnt fault the hotel , the staff were friendly and the spa was very nice . Our room was very clean with a nice view. The only complaint was the pillows were very flat /hard apart from that it was very good .
