Just had a lovely 8 night stay.
The good:
The pool was a lovely area and a great temperature. We always got sunbeds and there was a fair amount of shade. The food and drinks were good as was the service.
Breakfast was great - we went down in the advertised ‘busy time’ and always got a table and it never seemed too busy. The omelette and egg station was very good and there was always a good amount of smoked salmon.
Bar service in the Harbour View was also great.
The decor was classic and internally I felt it was grand but relaxing.
Rooms were big - as was our balcony. The housekeeping team did a super job.
Lovely location on the Harbour with great views. I’d prepared myself for the infamous steps and they really weren’t that bad!! Always walked in - never considered the shuttle.
The not so good:
Only one person at check in and we watched the people served before us given welcome drinks as they were being served. We were very thirsty and expected the same but drinks were never offered to us and then when we left the desk I saw the next people queuing behind us had drinks!
The exterior of the building does look a little tired but I understand there is a refurb starting in Feb 2027 for 18 months and it didn’t detract from our stay.
Overall I’d wholeheartedly recommend staying here 😁

The check in process for same day (booked at 3pm at airport when Airbnb canceled same day due to property issues) was delayed until after 8pm. There were places to lounge while waiting but with jet lag it was not ideal.
The property itself was beautiful with a great breakfast buffet. We were able to walk to all the locations we wanted to visit.

Just had a lovely 8 night stay.
The good:

The check in experience was disappointing. We arrived at around 6:20pm, even though check in starts at 3:00pm, and were told to wait around 30 minutes because the staff were on their break. In the end, we didn't get into our room until around 7:00pm, only to find out that our booking hadn't even been processed.
Other than that, it was quite a relaxing stay. However, I expected more attention to detail considering the price of the hotel. Simple things, like having a power socket next to the bed, were missing, which made the room less practical than it should have been.
The corridors were also being repainted during our stay, with a "Wet Paint" sign taped to the wall. It's not a major issue, but it doesn't reflect the level of quality you'd expect at this price point.
The air conditioning was another downside. The older system struggled to keep the room cool and didn't perform particularly well.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but there were several details that didn't justify the price or meet the standard I'd expect from a hotel in this price range.

The hotel was a bit run down and in need of some maintenance. Facilities were great as it had both pool and beach access as well as gym and spa. Conveniently located close to the old town and within walking distance of many nice restaurants and cafès. Not the most clean hotel, upon check-in our room had leftover bread in it and the daily cleaning was not really adhered to.

The Hotel was dated. We had no air conditioning and tv for 2 days in our room. The staff did say we could move rooms but that was late at night 10.30 pm. Ive heard that it is going to be closed and updated at the end of the season. The Hotel is very central. the swimming pool was good. the outside pool was lovely but could have done with sun umbrellas as it was hot. The food in the restaurant was good in the evening.

Disappointed with the complicated TV set up..you have to be magical to work their TV. Could not work nor get any TV to watch World Cup soccer. Downstairs wall TV was ok but very noisy patrons while trying to watch the great soccer games. Not happy about soccer TV

Hotel di grandi dimensioni, un po’ datato, molto buona la posizione a pochi passi dal centro storico di La Valletta, con possibilità di parcheggiare. Camera di metratura generosa, ben insonorizzata, bagno un po’ vecchio, pulizia della camera scadente (abbiamo trovato le lenzuola sporche al nostro arrivo). Ottima la colazione, molto personale presente in sala ma totalmente disattento.

I can imagine this hotel is very luxurious 20 years ago but now probably need to renovate. Of course if it is renovated the price of the rooms will be much higher. For the price and the size and the location of the hotel I am very happy. Parking is free big plus.

The location is amazing being close to the centre of Valetta. Facilities, especially the pool area on the harbour side, was brilliant. The restaurant Tiki, on the harbour side served fantastic lunches. Generally the public areas were exactly what you would expect of a 5 star hotel. Massive ticks on all these points.
But there is a downside which may or may not impact your enjoyment. The bedrooms! Ours was extremely “tired” in need of refurbishmeant. No electric points at all beside the bed meaning charging your phone a long way away from the bed. Apart from the lobby light the only lights in the room were desk lamps and a standard light that was leaning so much we called it the “leaning light if Valetta”. All of these lights were switched on or off directly on the lamp. Meaning getting out of bed to switch them off. We had a room with a sea view and terrace. Although it was clear in the website pictures there was no privacy between rooms so we really did not use it. Not a complaint but a warning - we should have gone for a room n with a balcony.

Stayed here for 3 nights. For the pros, location was very good. Close to the main sights and amenities in Valleta. Staff were nice and helpful. Check in and check out was quick. Rooms were regularly cleaned. We got complimentary wine during check-in as well. Breakfast was very good and had lots of options. There was a lot of seating. We never had trouble looking for a place to sit during our stay.
For the cons, it does not seem like a 5-star hotel. The carpet looked very old, furniture need to be replaced. Rust was in the bathroom. Furnishings were very dated as well. I was expecting more, since there are a lot of hotels that have the same star rating that are cheaper and newer.
