Hampton by Hilton Edinburgh West End

While I appreciate Edinburgh was busy due to a big music concert, the marathon and it being a English Bank Holiday weekend, the hotel were clearly charging a premium which wasn't deserved! For the price, I've experienced significantly better accommodation throughput the world. Some of the opportunities : - poor water pressure in the shower - washbasin was cracked - headboard was tatty and deteriorated - brown stains on the net window curtains - no complimentary bathroom extras Thanks for taking time to review my concerns

Lots of variety for breakfast and lovely room.

Staff appear over run by the amount of visitors to this hotel - management need to consider this! Breakfast is chaos, perhaps consider allocating time slots on check in? Breakfast was appeared hot but of average quality. We gave up because it was so hectic. Can't fault the staff on the ground floor, they're doing a great job under very difficult conditions from what I witnessed. They need better support!

Brekfast was fine as they had a full english amongst plenty or other choices

Did not stay in the hotel the staff was not helpful. They are not customer friendly and therefore wouldn’t recommend.

very good hotel. well equipped room comfortable bed. very helpful staff. despite being very busy it wasn't a scramble at the serve your self excellent breakfast. good information on screen re bus services into Princes St and beyond.

Overall a good hotel, super easy to hop on the public bus to get to all sights. Staff were nice, would’ve appreciated an early checkin or at least a follow up given I was waiting in the lobby. Convenient restaurant Sofias was good and had a fun vibe. Hotel food was on the tasteless side - had the cheese pizza and wings and would not recommend.

Such a great place to stay! Excellent rooms, wonderful staff, and not a far walk from the castle or you can catch a bus just in front of the hotel.

Very goo, thank you. Nice modern clean room. Very quiet, despite being on the road side of the hotel. Due to limited time, I parked in a near car park known to me, although the hotel did facilitate a discount, which was applied easily. However, it would have been useful to have been given directions to the hotel car park, in the event that there had been space there, albeit that the may have been no noticeable difference in cost.
