Not worth for money !

pros: Reception staffs are nice and friendly. Room is large Good air conditioning (hard to find in UK!) Security measure make me feels secure Close to train station cons: Clearer are not clearing rooms after their first approach (around 10:00), even with the clearing light on ( we left at 12:30), three nights in a row. Standard breakfast ( All day breakfast cereal coffee&juice) Incident: At the first day of our arrival, the hotel ran into a problem of drought tap. The hotel said it was a problem about the water supplier, therefore, they can't do much on it. The water need to wait until the third day to be fixed. I do understand that they can't actually do anything on it as it is a supplier issue but as a customer, I must stand on my right. A hotel that cannot supply water for two days is a big issue, plus, they don't take much action on it, only giving out bottled water and a paper of apology. I felt so disappointed on it, if the hotel can't do anything on it, at least they need to issue a refund, as the use of water should be the basic right to stay in a hotel.

I have chosen Clayton for its location, it was right next to the train station and travelling from London as a solo parent ai wanted to be comfortable as soon as reached the city. The ammenties were all beautiful , we love modern and clean stuff, altough the carpet in our room looked badly stained and it had some long hair from probably previously client staying. I didnt say anything and two day after the hair was finally hoovered. Everything else was really good. The bed a little to high for my liking and I kind of dislike that there was no way to open window for fresh hair :( again this is somenthing that might be an issue only for me , as there is AC in the room. Overall I would visit again , altough only if discounted as at full price I belive there could be better out there for the same price.

Hotel is fine, but does not clearly advertise in advance that the bar etc. is card only. I would prefer not to support organisations that do not give the customer that choice, and would not have booked had I known.

Everything was fine although when the fire alarm went off at 23:00 staff didn’t seem prepared. Thankfully it was a false alarm but it didn’t instil any confidence if it wasn’t. It was very disorganised and lacked coordination

Lovely hotel and staff BUT parking was a nightmare! The close car park refereed to when booking was closed and has and will be for a very long time !! Finally found one after an hour of driving around and a 30 min walk back to hotel !!

Nothing wrong with the accommodation, it was fine and a nice location, but the food in the restaurant was a shocker, and when asked by a staff member how the food was, both my daughter and i advised it was tepid and poor, to which she replied sorry and took our plates away. Eat out if you stay here would be my advice.

We’ve stayed here a couple of times, always been great. We were upgraded to a junior suite in arrival which was lovely. Room was spacious, clean and with great amenities. Breakfast was spot on. Will stay again.

Excellent room and amenities

The hotel as I’m sure it’s the same for most hotels in Birmingham is parking. The closest car park was10/15 mins away. £25 for 24hr. There was a cheaper alternative but seemed further away. Birmingham city centre is in constant construction that last a decade so heads up if you’re driving there. The room alwarm went off twice in the morning. Staff were welcoming and very nice.
