Good stay for business. Would recommend. Food in the restaurant really needs to improve. Overpriced and poor / tasteless Staff were lovely and room comfortable.

Good hotel spoilt because of uncomfortable bed

Stayed here for a celebration weekend, stated it on booking however not even a congratulations on arrival. We've stayed in other hotels for special occasions and always at the least got some response from staff. Check in was a bit of a mare. The lady next to me also had the same problem. At no point of booking I was told they would take a holding fee. Put my foot down and they agreed they didn't need it however this should have been stated on booking. The receptionist really was in his own bubble. Had to ask several times to get an answer about dinner reservations and then later on had an incident with other guests damaging fire exits and emergency signs, he was cheerful and happy about hearing they were damaging hotel property. Cleaning and waiting staff were impeccable and lovely. Hotel itself was alright, nice room but I'd expect that paying over 100 a night. There was an event on and for some reason we were not told on booking, probably would have considered a different hotel due to us actually needing sleep. Our room allocation was incredibly poorly done. We were on the same corridor as a lot of event people and also very close to reception/bar area. I had stated we had a child in our booking so it's very strange that we were placed there, unless they randomly allocate. we were kept awake until 2am with people running and shouting continuously. The staff dont care about controlling customers behaviour at all. pool staff weren't interested in health and safety at all.

Check in was easy with receptionist friendly and efficient room was spacious and clean No air con just heaters No bath robes thought being a spa hotel there would be in the room spa was poor Booked a table in the restaurant and went downhill . Food was not as hot as you would expect Was quiet in restaurant and wasn’t approached to see how food was . Usually a nice touch if for in my instance to mention the quality of food . Was offered a 25% discount to only find out when checking out the cost of dining was overcharged with no discount applied Strange there was no record of receipt Lady on reception again really polite and helpful sorted bill out but never got 25% discount on food which I should of queried but glad to leave

Warm cookie on arrival, brought to my room and the room was lovely and clean.

Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was excellent, very clean and tidy. The bed was a little firm for us, but didn’t spoil things too much. We breakfast in the morning and the food was really nice. The hotel is well located and the grounds are very nice. Would happily recommend it to anyone.

Checked in fine and straightforward and lovely evening meal. But went to bed at 10pm and my room was situated right above the bar and close to the stairs, I had to call reception at 11pm as extremely loud and rowdy group of guests so couldn’t get to sleep, eventually had enough so went downstairs at midnight as couldn’t tolerate anymore, after this the bar closed but barely slept after that. Then went for breakfast and the waitress asked for my room number and showed me to my table, I then proceeded to get my breakfast at the buffet. It was then in front of several other guests the waitress came upto me and said you haven’t paid for breakfast to be included , I insisted I had but she wasn’t listening so I had to go reception and then the receptionist even said I hadn’t paid for it either. Once I got my banking app open and showed them I had they said sorry. But this was certainly not good enough and very unprofessional.

Excellent hospitality by reception

Our stay was lovely only however only downside was there was no bathrobes or slippers other than that all was great :)

On arrival the hotel was stunning, beautiful building, Christmas decorations, huge Christmas tree and other tree's going around. Staff were dressed smartly and warm welcome cookies. Had to put a £50.00 deposit per night so £100.00 on arrival which wasn't expected. Car park was Free. Room was lovely with complimentary bottles of water, room service and a heater but then my son had a shower and it nearly overflowed from a clogged drain full of hair. Swimming pool closes at 3pm and check-in isnt until 3pm so had to go in the morning, not ideal if you have an early start the next day and dont get to use the pool at all. Sauna had just broke and hot tub wasn't working, when i asked a lady about the hot tub she said its not worked for 3 years, so a hot tub shouldnt be on the facilities list. Really disappointed in all this as the Swimming area is a big thing for us. The swimming pool area needs an upgrade and longer hours. Breakfast was a lovely selection but there was no hot chocolate selection on the machines which was the first for us wherever we go, lovely waitress called Victoria gave us hot chocolates both mornings and lovely service, thank you.

We had a lovely night's stay at your hotel, staying for a wedding. Great room, lovely facilities and friendly staff. It took a long time, 15-20 minutes to have our phone answered when I called room service, but otherwise, had a brilliant stay and would recommend.

We stayed in room 341 in the Buckhurst area. The room was big but the bathroom was very tierd. The sink was all cracked and damaged and the bath had seen better days.

Broken tiles in bathroom, paint peeling off bathroom and bedroom ceilings everywhere, big cob webs in room, bathroom not clean with stains on the side by sink, mould around window frame. Staff were nice and when I showed them the room they moved me, unfortunately to a much smaller room, whilst it was still a family room, it’s pretty poor when you go to speak to them and they give you a worse room than you first had because of no fault of your own. Wont be going back, it fell well below expectations of the Hilton chain.
