Overall experience is brilliant: good lake view, good service, clean, comfortable. But there's only one drawback: the shower drains very slow. I had to finish shower in 5 mins to avoid water flooding out. I still highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, excellent location, right on the lake and staff very helpful, only negative is parking at a cost 15pounds per night, a little costly!

We had the most amazing stay at the Belsfield - the construction work does not take from the experience at all. The views are still incredible, and the gardens and terrace are still exceptionally well looked after. Although there are parts of the building that look a bit tired, the cleanliness and facilities are lovely. Breakfast was very average, which was disappointing, but there is everything you would need on the buffet. Compared to other B&B's in the area, it doesn't measure up, but they did bring a fresh coffee machine out on our final day. The real highlight and outstanding feature of the hotel are the staff. They are truly so helpful and friendly and genuinely show warmth and care. A special mention to Charlie at Reception for simply going above and beyond (even sang 'Happy Birthday' to me and Joy at breakfast, who was simply a joy. We'll definitely stay again, and look forward to coming again once the refurbishments have completed too.

We absolutely love The Belsfield, it has a special place in our heart and memories. We have been lucky enough to stay there for the last few years and even have our favourite room. From the staff , the service and location, it is absolutely perfect. My personal /family life has been hard with parents health the last few years, so when we are able to we go. It is my safe haven and would visit there more if I could. Thank you to all the staff at The Belsfield Hotel

I loved the lift. Would pay to use that lovely experience. Lake Windermere was a very short and pleasant walk through the hotel gardens. The shops were also very close making the hotel perfectly situated.

Everything about this hotel is perfect Room was excellent with very large bed and comfortable breakfast was very good buffer style with as much food as you can eat. The views are fantastic of the lake and beyond Will definatly be staying here again.

A lovely hotel in a great location. We had a nice view of the lake from our room and were given an upgrade on our room which was very nice. Only down side is the expensive parking.

Had an ok stay but being totally honest we were expecting far better!! Room had a cheap make over pretty bodged to be frank , we stayed in a garden room which on the outside was pretty scruffy, this hotel top cleans areas on show this lets the hotel down. Breakfast was cold and dry been left out on heat for far too long. Being charged £30 when we left for parking was a huge shock and pretty greedy of the hotel to charge this In my view. When you pay a handsome price to stay in a nice hotel being charged this for parking is pretty desperate. This would result in us thinking twice to book again. Windows in the restaurant desperately need a good clean! They were filthy dirty. Lovely grounds and but again only kept tidy where on show areas you cannot see full of weeds. I just feel everything in this hotel need far greater attention to detail. Reception staff upon arrival (apart from one…) quite dismissive and borderline rude, upon leaving couldn’t be bothered. All in all we expected far better, Come on Belsfield you should do far better on the detail, management should walk the floor and see for themselves. Sorry, but in today’s hospitality sector challenging times it’s the small things that count and small things that matter most, there’s no excuses.

We absolutely loved out stay and will definitely be retuning , the staff are so helpful and lovely , the bar staff was lovely last night had a lovely chat with him , The breakfast was delicious ❤️

The hotel itself is really good, staff are friendly, we had Diego who was really helpful on check in. The room we stayed in was okay, disappointed with the mold on the bath seal, the shower head was also mouldy and the light was flicking in the living room. The view was good, we looked over the lakes and also the building site where they are building a new pool. Cant be helped but wasnt mentioned when booking We payed a bit extra for the room, dont think I would do it again.
