Breakfast choice was excellent and beautiful presented. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Our bedroom was very comfortable ,well furnished and lovely bathroom. We know refurbishing has to be done , unfortunately we looked through the scaffolding at the lovely Lake view but staff and the delicious breakfast compensated . we will return.

View was nice but spoilt by scaffold but we had been informed about after we had booked !!

Lakeview was beautiful.

Excellent check in staff, but found all staff polite and friendly. Nothing was to much trouble for them. We had a lake view and had been pre informed of the scaffolding outside our window, it did block the view but not too much. Unfortunately the very misty morning put paid to any view but obviously that’s nature. Would definitely return

Relaxing stay. The hotel is undergoing some refurbishment and redecoration, but this wasn't too intrusive.

Lovely hotel, great location, plenty parking, friendly staff, nice room - was a cosy double lake view, room was much bigger than expected, the bathroom was only small though but perfectly fine. Everywhere was very clean. Breakfast on Saturday was delicious with lots of choice. However, if you’re going soon I would recommend checking with hotel about the scaffolding if paying for a lake view. It didn’t ruin the stay but it was a surprise.

The music they play in the hotel is all for the young people there not looking at the guest age group to please everyone

Likes. Great location views over lake are nice. Staff excellent super friendly and helpful, breakfast lovely. Dislikes. paying for parking, this really angered me when checking out to be told it’s an extra £15. I have already paid to stay at the hotel and to be given an extra charge didn't sit well. Contactless only. Again if I had know this before booking I probably wouldn’t have chosen to stay here. It did stop me using the bar and restaurant as I prefer cash. Really poor decision by hotel.

The hotel was bright and fresh and with easy access to the town and restaurants. Staff were very friendly. The weather unfortunately was not great but still had a great lake view. Great breakfast.

Four poster suite beautiful, could do with a new mattress. Will return wonderful experience.

We had a three night stay at the Belsfield this week and it was a very charming place to stay! The building itself is in such a stunning location, you can see right over the lake and the pier even if your room is on the lower floor like ours was, and in the morning when you have breakfast, if you're lucky, you can grab a window seat and watch over lake Windermere. The breakfast itself was very delicious, it is a self serve system and was very high standard and the staff are very attentive to it. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and pleasant to be around. In the evenings when we decided to have a drink or a meal by the bar, we were looked after by a staff member called Nick, who was amazing! He went above and beyond to give us a lovely experience which we really appreciate. If you didn't want to have food in the hotel, it is less than a five minute walk away from the town center, there is a bus stop very close on either side that you can exit, and the staff are always happy to provide recommendations for where to eat and things to do around the lake district! The room itself was very cosy, especially in the evenings, and the bed was very comfortable. We had booked the stay for my birthday and upon arrival I had many 'happy birthdays' and even a card in our room! Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely come again!
