The breakfast buffet was extravaganza! I never seen that much extent of options and they were top notch! It is a big hotel so they had to limit time so we got busy exploring different items. We did not have dinner there but I wonder what it would have been like. We went out to a local mom and pop bar. The immediate area did not seem to have many options for eating out though.
The hot spring bath was nice. We enjoyed going between inside and olhalf-outside baths. We didn't do this but saw used the sauna and cold bath.
The view from the room was wonderful, looking at snow-capped mountain ridges.
The only con is that we were a family of 5 and had to get separated into two rooms. It would have been nice to stay together in one room with five futons. Maybe they were out of bigger rooms when we booked?
The location was good for a car access. It is away from the city center of Nagano so if you travel by train, a taxi ride would be needed. But we were pleasantly surprised by what this Matsushiro area had to offer. After checking out we drove a few minutes to the Matsushiro historic residential area, parked, strolled the old Shinto shrine and Buddhist temples. Then we toured into the enormous cave that Imperial Japan dug near the end of WWII to move the headquarter from Tokyo. They never actually moved, but they preserved the cave as a historic site.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The facilities are old but clean (though I noticed some water stains in the toilet).
The check-in staff was kind and helpful, but the person I spoke with on the phone tried to charge extra for breakfast even though it was already included, which felt unreliable.
However, the bath and breakfast were excellent, so I’m satisfied overall and would stay again.

ビュッフェもラウンジも明らかにキャパオーバー。料理１つ取るのも、ご飯をよそうのも長蛇の列。しかもなかなか進まない。
カトラリーも料理も補充が遅すぎる。
朝食は廊下のような場所にも席が作ってあり、なんだかなぁと思いました。
ラウンジもドリンクバーが１つしかないのでめちゃくちゃ並ぶのでお代わりする気が無くなります。
チェックインもかなり待たされますが、チェックイン前のラウンジ利用の案内はなく…。
ちなみにラウンジの生ビールは夕方までの時間しかありません。
夜は焼酎、ウィスキー、日本酒とかでビール好きの方はガッカリかも。
レモン酎ハイすらつくれません笑
料理も美味しいと思えるものがなかったです。
脱衣場は髪の毛がたくさん落ちてるし、掃除が行き届いてるかというと…。
メルキュール系列はもう利用しないと決めました。

連泊の際テーブルの上の空き缶、ペットボトル等は片付けて欲しかった。

The breakfast buffet was great and you will love it.
But they gave us wrong room although I booked bigger room online and the room’s floor had huge stains. And when I stayed there, men’s hot spring was broken and we had scheduled for sharing one hot spring space and it was so crowded and I couldn’t relax at all. That was my unlucky experience.

there was no chance for breakfast as too many people are at the waiting list. the price of over 40,000 yen is definetely too much expensive for this quality.

レストランの食品配置が悪い。どこがメインメニューを提示する場なのかがわかりづらく、往復をする羽目になる。
また、時間のかかる食品をとる時の整列等のルール付けがなく、トラブルが起きやすい陳列環境になっている。エンドユーザー目線が足りないと思われる。

男風呂が故障しており、男女交代制のため、とても混雑しており、ゆっくりできない。タイミングによっては入れない。
客室数の割にレストランの座席が少ないため、入り切らず別室やロビーで食べることになる。
スタッフの対応は良いのに設備が残念過ぎて評価は悪くなるので非常にもったいない。

ラウンジのナイトキャップ、子供の入場は好ましく無い。せめて夜の部は18歳以下の入場は禁止して欲しい。落ち着いて呑めない。
保育所か！って思わせる所で、リラックス出来る訳が無い。
また、日本酒の瓶が全て空になっているのに、バーテンダーの方は無視。グラスを出す人になっている。
これでは…2日目はラウンジに行く気すらしなかった。多分、もう二度とラウンジには行かないと思う。
ラウンジはあれ、意味有りますか？

娘との2人で宿泊しました。インターから近く、大浴場があるホテルが良いと探して決めましたが、男性用浴場が使えなくなっていた為、男女が一時間交換の入浴になっていました。仕方ないので、女性の時間に入るか考えていましたが、男性が入った後すぐに入るのに娘が抵抗があると言うので、部屋の風呂に入りましたが、大浴場があるから決めたホテルなのに…入れないのであれば、予約しなかったです。予約時に分かればよかったのですが…ガッカリしました

But they gave us wrong room although I booked bigger room online and the room’s floor had huge stains. And when I stayed there, men’s hot spring was broken and we had scheduled for sharing one hot spring space and it was so crowded and I couldn’t relax at all. That was my unlucky experience.
