Room available is too late but the staff are cheerful n helpful

This was a quick stay, several hours while we waited for our next stop. They were kind, courteous and allowed us to check in early to rest as much as we could. I would definitely recommend them

We booked this for a speakers night that was on (Mel Gibson no less!) but it was postponed so we decided to use the hotel anyway for a night in Glasgow. The only things I can comment on is the check in and the room itself - the check in was smooth - the receptionist was lovely and very helpful allowing us access to our room early to save us leaving our bags with them. The room was clean and spacious enough and the bed was very comfortable. We didn’t use the facilities or have breakfast but we were happy with what we did see. (The aroma in the reception area was so nice!) No complaints.

Fantastic location for a shopping trip. We are two ladies in our mid-70s and early 80s, and this was an excellent, accessible hotel. Very comfortable and within walking distance from amenities and shopping district.

Had very high stanards of cleaning, rooms were lovely and very quiet hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Good location

I've stayed at this hotel many times. It is consistently good and seems to keep the same staff. There is always entertainment at the weekends which is great if you've been shopping and want to relax in the bar after a meal in their very good restaurant. I take my niece for a treat. She particularly enjoys the pool area as it is a good hotel for families.

Great stay, was just the 1 night and wished it was more

I booked this hotel because of its pool, so I could swim whilst away from home. When I checked in I was informed the pool was closed. No advanced warning, no apology, no offer to use another hotel's pool. Room was okay, very basic, sachets of cheap instant coffee and a couple of teabags, no snacks or even water. Probably not the hotel's fault but the whole place was evacuated because of a fire alarm and we had to stand on the corner of a freezing cold windy street whilst the fire engines came and went one evening. Again, no apology. I came back from my conference exhausted, made my way to my hotel room to find the key didn't work, had to go back to the lobby and join an extensively long queue to have my key reactivated. Again, no apology, just a barrage of questions from a young woman who clearly thought I looked like some sort of criminal trying to break into my own hotel room, in my smart conference wear, and quizzed me relentlessly before she sneered at me and reactivated it without apology. If the staff learned to apologise for the errors that impact guests' stays, they'd land a lot easier. But this was a catalogue of errors dealt with by utterly miserable staff who haven't learned the word 'sorry' No idea what the breakfast was like as apparently it wasn't included.
