DoubleTree by Hilton New York Times Square South

Rooms were small but clean and comfortable. No view from our room window but I appreciated the black out curtains which aided sleep and very little to no street noise. We were on the sixth floor and had an ice and water machine right by our room. Upon check in they gave us fresh delicious cookies which we snacked on during our stay. The bed was very comfortable. We thought the area was a good home base for tourists . We never even took the subway and we walked every where we wanted to go but we are big walkers. Hidden gem next door at vanilla gorilla!! Great coffee and great food..try it!!! Great food options all around the hotel. Would recommend staying here. Great parking garage very very close called dock parking at Penn 1.

Very convenient to train station, multiple dinning options and varied offerings, restaurant on the premises (rooftop), felt safe. Rooms could be a little larger.

Hotel was 4 blocks from Penn Station. Several subway stations within walking distance. Close to Times Square and Broadway shows. Room could have been a little bigger, but we saw the same size at other properties, also. Only con was no microwave available at the hotel.
