Soundproof quality not good enough. Otherwise modern decor n clean. Most importantly its right next to bus station where I needed to take coach to airport early in morning

Nice hotel near city center. You can walk through city center and find many restaurants. Cardiff castle is nearby.

Clean room, staff very friendly and happy to help. Lovely onsite restaurant, the food was delicious. Overall for our first stay it was made lovely. We will be back.

The room was nice and spacious but the bathroom looked dated specially the door. We pulled the beds together because we had children with us and where the bed was it was very dirty on the floor we found the an old dried cheeto under the bed which was not pleasant. The amenities were really good we really enjoyed the swimming pool, steam and sauna. Breakfast service was good and we found the staff very friendly and helpful. The views from the room over the castle were also really nice.

È la seconda volta che prenoto questo hotel, soprattutto per la sua posizione strategica e la facilità con cui è possibile raggiungere i luoghi di interesse. Il personale è molto cortese; desidero fare una menzione speciale a Chiara, Event Manager, una professionista instancabile, competente e sempre disponibile a soddisfare ogni richiesta con gentilezza e attenzione. Le camere sono spaziose, ma iniziano a mostrare i segni del tempo. La moquette andrebbe rinnovata e anche il bagno potrebbe essere reso più funzionale, in particolare per quanto riguarda la disposizione della porta di accesso, che risulta poco pratica. Ho inoltre notato l'assenza del courtesy set, normalmente presente in molte strutture Hilton. Sono rimasto invece sorpreso dalla scarsa efficienza degli ascensori, un problema che ricordo di aver riscontrato già circa un anno fa. Una struttura Hilton non dovrebbe trascurare aspetti di questo tipo, che incidono sull'esperienza complessiva degli ospiti.

We arrived early from overseas flight. Manager front desk told us we were too early, no rooms available. I asked did she want to check, she said no need, she knew. Said she would store our bags. That’s it. I asked for a map, she gave a booklet, said turn left, turn left, turn right. Much better reception at The Parkgate. Warm welcome, invited us to rest our feet, directions of things to do, 100% stay at The Parkgate. Avoid Hilton Cardiff.

The check is was great the gentleman checked us in early. Room was fine, clean. We came back to the bar for a drink in the night and it stunk of drains really not nice. Had an awful sleep. Our room 418 was right by the lift and there was a lot of noise and at one point security was making a noise with someone. Also there was the bar in the street that was very noisy. Used the gym and it was 26 degrees no air con but well equipped. Check out, met with some patronising staff who really need to read the room! Very insincere will definitely go back to the parkgate as it is excellent there. Only tried Hilton for a change

Nice room with a wonderful view. Staff friendly and efficient. Hotel excellent though restaurant was poor and overpriced. Breakfast excellent and good value.

Refurbished since our last stay- its very clean looking

The staff were great during check-in and if we needed anything from reception! The pool was great, especially the sauna and the buffet breakfast was brill

Hotel was great. Apart from the staff decide “when” they close the bar. We arrived back at 10.50 and decided to have one glass before bed and the bar staff had decided they wanted to go home and refused to serve us. The reception staff commented that it was open till midnight the day before? And we are residents. Even the duty manager tried to help but was flately met with a no.

Breakfast

I would highly recommend this hotel if you need to stay at Heathrow before or after a flight. It has a nice restaurant and separate bar area. The breakfast buffet had huge number of choices much better than the typical Hyatt Place buffet in the US. The room was clean and spacious with an electric kettle for tea or instant coffee. There is a hotel hopper bus that goes to the front of the hotel from the bus area at Heathrow Terminal 2. But it only runs hourly for 6.5 pounds. Uber was double that for a 10 minute ride.

The hotel was pleasant and staff were excellent. Disappointed the gym wasn’t open till 8am so was unable to use it in the mornings before getting out to a conference.

It's in the central location of Cardiff. It's near to shopping center and Cardiff castle. The staff is very helpful.

Room was clean and comfortable but quite dark as there was not a lot of natural light. Staff were very friendly and gave us complimentary drinks for our anniversary.

Good location for city centre

A lovely spacious family room, it was spotless. The hotel was very welcoming. And the spa/pool facilities were great.
