From the moment we arrived, Aliysha's warm and welcoming check-in set the perfect tone for our stay. When a small issue arose in our room, staff responded promptly and resolved it without fuss. The room itself was very clean and, comfy, with stunning views of the beautiful City of Calgary.The Westin's location is simply unmatched.
Checking out with Chirag was the cherry on top. His professionalism combined with a brilliant sense of humour had us laughing all the way to the door. An exceptional stay from start to finish. We'll absolutely be back!
A special mention must go to the calibre of staff of The Westin. The training and selection process is clearly exceptional. We have never visited a hotel where every single team member seemed so perfectly suited to their role - the professionalism is truly unmatched.
What stood out most was how genuinely valued and respected we felt, not just as guests, but as human beings. This is rare, and no amount of luxury furnishings can replace it. Whoever is responsible for building this team deserves enormous credit for it this is hospitality at its finest.

The hotel is gorgeous as well as the room. I room service menu was small but good. The gym is a beautiful space, all the equipment you would want and it’s spacious. The pool was in a beautiful space too and the sauna a nice touch. I actually choose the hotel for the pool and sauna.. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED that they closed the pool for a private event during the hours of my arrival and departure. The hotel removed my parking fee at my request for the inconvenience. Still a bummer for me.

I checked 2 days before arrival inquired about EV charging for Electric Vehicle charging and she mentioned that there is EV charger on Valet parking level. The support from staff was poor, she was not knowledgeable about Electric vehicle charging, she mentioned that there are no EV charger in this hotel, there is a normal 110 V charger on Valet parking. She asked me to pay $49.00 to park the car in Valet parking to use normal regular 110 Volt charger. EV charger is 220 Volt. She mentioned that I booked with Expedia , even though I paid self parking I have to pay full valet parking $49.00 . The bell man had no knowledge about EV charging. I had to drive to another Hotel Hotel Delta to Charge my vehicle.

I am genuinely shocked at how far the Westin Calgary has fallen.
The room was filthy. Not “a bit worn” or “dated” but dirty. The chair had bizarre, clearly visible stains that made it unusable, and the overall cleanliness of the room was unacceptable for a hotel charging premium rates.
To make matters worse, my wife actually cut her hand on the metal door guard, which was sharp enough to feel like a knife edge. That is not just poor maintenance, it is a safety hazard. Completely unacceptable.
Sleep was nearly impossible. All night long we could hear the elevator moving, every trip up and down, echoing through the room. For a hotel that markets itself on comfort and rest, this was laughable.
The price would be hard to justify even if the experience were average. Instead, it was substandard in every way. Nothing about the stay felt special, elevated, or worthy of the Westin name.
The Westin used to be a great hotel. Sadly, those days appear to be long gone. I will not be returning, and I will strongly cautioning others before booking here.
