Very good location.

Checking in, the receptionist tried to charge us for the room we’d already pre-paid! When I convinced him we’d paid, he said ‘my bad’!! The hotel is sad & rundown. The room was small, stifling (no aircon…) & scruffy. There were stains on the duvet cover - not nice. Next time we’re in Southampton we won’t be going back to the Ibis!!

Used this hotel many times due to its convenience for Southampton port. No complaints whatsoever.

No AC during a heatwave makes for a very uncomfortable room. Temperature did not go below 83°.

We were unfortunate to book the Ibis during Englands heat wave. The hotel rooms have no air conditioning. The supplied a 10" fan with windows that do not open more than 6 inches. Very little air could circulate into the room. Our room NEVER got lower then 83° F. The windows opened like a book, not upband down. They had no amenities except a breakfast you could pay for. They did not offer any compensation for the very uncomfortable night. We thought maybe a bottle of water, but nothing.

Not worth the money. No breakfast included. Unfortunately, the room was very outdated and appeared to be poorly maintained. Better hotels in the area.

This hotel has great staff who managed to answer all our questions. Breakfast was excellent with cooked food being replenished frequently.

Close to port

Location is good to old town and old city walls. See cruises front of our room/may flower terminal. Coach and train stations very close.

Old basic expensive poor. Avoid if possible.

We stayed one night prior to my cruise. The room we stayed are small and a bit aged. No air conditioning. Stay one night should be good and we have no complaint.

I dread to imaging what the budget version is like over the road…. This wasn’t good Breakfast shocking egg’s I’m not sure they know how to cook them… sausages tasted terrible…. Even the coffee didn’t taste right

Able to check in early. Could park right outside for a relatively low cost. Well located, was all we needed to lay our heads after attending a concert.

The rooms are now really tired and neglected and not worth the £170 price per night, compared to other local hotels ive stayed in. The downstairs communal areas are good, despite the greedy £10 per wineglass, as are the staff. Its the bedrooms- woodchip walls, broken botched multiple wood/paint surfaces, mouldy bathroom and bare carpets-that need a complete renovation. Upstairs communal carpet is like something from The Shining movie. Not recommended.

It was an ibis. I got the usual standard I expected.
