This hotel has great staff who managed to answer all our questions. Breakfast was excellent with cooked food being replenished frequently.

Location is good to old town and old city walls. See cruises front of our room/may flower terminal. Coach and train stations very close.

We stayed one night prior to my cruise. The room we stayed are small and a bit aged. No air conditioning. Stay one night should be good and we have no complaint.

I dread to imaging what the budget version is like over the road…. This wasn’t good Breakfast shocking egg’s I’m not sure they know how to cook them… sausages tasted terrible…. Even the coffee didn’t taste right

Able to check in early. Could park right outside for a relatively low cost. Well located, was all we needed to lay our heads after attending a concert.

The rooms are now really tired and neglected and not worth the £170 price per night, compared to other local hotels ive stayed in. The downstairs communal areas are good, despite the greedy £10 per wineglass, as are the staff. Its the bedrooms- woodchip walls, broken botched multiple wood/paint surfaces, mouldy bathroom and bare carpets-that need a complete renovation. Upstairs communal carpet is like something from The Shining movie. Not recommended.

It was an ibis. I got the usual standard I expected.

Old and tired looking hotel, extremely hot inside room (was a very hot day), room ventilation / air-con wouldn't reduce room temperature below 26oC during night. Hard lumpy bed. Very convenient location to explore Southampton but there are definately better hotels in the area to stay

Would stay again but they were short stuffed so we waited a few times

Staff are lovely at check-in. Rooms are clean but very dated. Good for a quick overnight before a cruise or concert. Close to West Quay and lots of parking spaces.

Room good problem getting 2 keys to work. Gave up in the end. No bar due to machine not working, however could take Room charging but not room service which would resolve machine not working. Basically someone didn't want to work the bar

We had a lovely stay apart from the breakfast which was such an unpleasant experience! There wasn't any bread for toast, no croissants, mushrooms, tomatoes or eggs, all of which we asked for. Only 1 member of staff available, who was trying to work reception as well as attempting to replenish food, drinks and clear tables in restaurant. After a 5 minute wait the bread then came along as did the fried eggs but they were rubbery & inedible! The mushrooms arrived after we had eaten bacon & beans on toast! When the supposedly grilled tomatoes arrived, they were just sliced cold salad tomatoes, not grilled! It wasn't even that busy! The female cook was slamming dishes on the hot plate and seemed extremely stressed! It felt as though it was all too much trouble! If a cooked breakfast is available at the hotel I'm staying at then, I expect to be able to choose a cooked breakfast! I'm sure it would've only needed another member of staff to help out and things would've been much better as regards to replenishing food, pastries etc. Such a shame and extremely disappointing.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. No refrigerator nor microwave. Hotel was reasonably priced. It was close to the bus station and cruise port. Worked great for the night before cruising.
