麥克唐納德老英格蘭溫泉飯店

酒店靠近湖邊，交通方便，是不錯的選擇。 週末放假貴得有點離譜，都是3000以上的價格，到了之後發現其實有更多更好的選擇。房間基本上沒有風景可言，我們三個房間，只有我的大床房可以看到一點湖景，其他什麼都沒有。 酒店的員工都很歧視亞洲人，我們在餐廳享用了晚餐和早餐，晚餐的時候，多次催促我們點菜，我們朋友感冒了在房間先休息和吃藥，員工竟然說我們預定的是7點，你們已經遲了15分鐘點菜了必須要快，讓人感覺很莫名其妙。 早餐的時候，點了茶一直沒來，問她就說很多人，要逐個準備，最後催促了幾次發現根本是遺漏了，這服務也是讓人失望；然後，其他桌都是主動過去問要什麼早餐，我們的不叫都不問，也不告訴我們有麵包，這就是對待亞洲人的服務態度？？

The room was spacious, very comfortable beds and armchairs. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Whilst the hotel bills itself as 4* in our view it's living on past glories. Our Delux room had only a velux roof window which could only be opened by standing on a chair so you had a better view of the sky only. At breakfast the only coffee choice was a cafetiere so espresso or latte luxury was not an option. The should rename it a Velux room, definitely not a Delux room

Our room (325, King bed with lake view) was clean, spacious and comfortable. Hotel location is excellent, a couple minutes walk to the ferries, good restaurants, shops and even the Victoria Wood theater (fun show!). The staff was courteous and unobtrusive. The breakfast was plentiful - and “unhurried” to get a table and to get the cooked food. We hope to stay again someday.

Lovely hotel close to the lake and very convenient for the shops, theatre and main attractions. Staff at Reception and at breakfast were all really pleasant and helpful. Arriving in a car is a bit of a nightmare: the entrance is in a very tight and busy street, so finding somwhere to wait while paying for the hotel car park and getting directions was difficult. If we could have paid for the parking in advance and driven straight to the car park, that would have been much easier. Breakfast was cooked to order, but really nothing special: one piece of bacon and one (very ordinary) sausage in the Full English breakfast, but a nice spread in the buffet selections. For such an expensive hotel, charging extra for the avocado and other 'special' breakfasts seemed to be taking a liberty.

Great location close to all amenities. Large spacious rooms and clean.

Hotel showing its age but lake view rooms very nice. Clean and tidy but older part of the hotel could do with full refurbish. Breakfast lovely and evening meal reasonable. Drinks very expensive.

Our view was awful from our room . Ground floor rm 12 . Looked out on to pub that’s was closed. Renavation work . A big pile of scrap . The room it’s self was lovely .

Breakfast menu had sufficient choice and everything you would expect. However the breakfast buffet selection was limited but not poor. Probably lacked more options like more fruit, cooked meats, croissants, etc.

Walls paper thin, could hear everything in the rooms next to us. Tv didn’t work because of the signal. Could not sleep because of the noise.

This hotel is at the prime location.We could reach any place from the hotel without car. Though the proprty is old style, however, the room was spacious with all the facilities. Staff was quite friendly and helpful. Would definitely like to stay here for my next visit

Breakfast only starts at 07:30 and is cooked to order so if you are hoping for an early start this can be a problem. Also if it is a busy time then this can really mean a delay from the time you order to actually getting the breakfast: 45 mins on one day The pool is lovely but can be rented out to local swimmers so your access can be restricted. Gym is pretty good. Views are amazing from the lounger and from some rooms. Parking is not onsite and is a surprising 25 pounds per night: there are cheaper, closer car parks especially if the electric chargers in the hotel car park are unavailable

Such a beautiful hotel , staff were very friendly and the breakfast overlooking the lake was stunning

I just want to point out that the bathroom tiled floor needs grouting, it’s a germ collector. Otherwise everything good

Lovely hotel with outstanding outlook on the edge of Lake Windermere and in the centre of Bowness.

A great hotel in a fantastic location. Our room had a lake view. The spa was also very nice. The hotel is in walking distance to everything you need, including parking.
