I found this hotel by accident when just arrived at Paddington Station after flying +18 hours from Jakarta to Heathrow. Tired condition of having to push a large 32 kg suitcase made me undo the intention to move to the hostel that had been booked in advance near Victoria Station. The location is very strategic, only about 5 minutes walk from Paddington Station. Room B10 which is located at LG is quite spacious, there are 4 beds, a bath tube and a heating machine which I thought was an AC at first. Since sleeping there on the first night finally decided to extend the stay there for the next 5 days with family who flew after a few days later. BTW, did I tell you that this hotel turned out to be a shooting location for one of my favorite films from the ' 90s era? Trainspotting 1. Please check it out!

Very centrally located right by Paddington Station and lots of nice restaurants. Staff was friendly and stores our luggage. Nice little bar inside to have a coffee or a drink. No AC but you can open windows for a breeze and they have fans in the rooms too. Would recommend!

I can't say enough good things about the staff. We spent many days here and the staff was our favorite part of visiting London. Our family had some personal struggles during our stay and they were helpful, accommodating, and went out of their way to help us in any way they could. We spent a lot of time talking to them and getting to know them and loved their cheerful and happy smiles. A special thanks to Shaikh (if I got the spelling wrong - sorry friend).

Was very surprised to get a air condition room on my second visit to this location , on my first visit for 5 days stay in a very tiny room and with fan , when asked , Front desk staff lied and I was told that we don’t have air condition rooms and we don’t promote it on line either , was very disappointed , room was very small , two twin beds put together to make a double bed , hard mattress .

Like all London hotels, the rooms are small. But this hotel is conveniently located very near Paddington station, and when you're dragging heavy suitcases around from point A to point B, it's nice that "point B" is so near the station. This was the primary reason that I booked this hotel. The desk staff and the housekeeping staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. They offered me a fresh apple every day. But also like many London hotels, there was no AC. As the UK was going through a heatwave at the time, this made life a little uncomfortable, but there was a great fan in the room and that was quite helpful.

The Royal Eagle hotel has a lot going for it: location is one of the best in London; it is kept very clean in common and private rooms; the staff are pleasant and responsive to fixing all problems; the prices are very good for London. However, it is an old property that was very hot during our stay. No AC means fans are the only solution, although the hotel arranged 3 fans for our use in our room. The free candies/sweets and apples in the lobby were appreciated!
Overall assessment: good value for an excellent no frills stay in London.

Televisão bem velha e quarto mínimo. Cama quase encostada na parede, dificultando a entrada e saída da cama. Fora isso, foi bom. Localização ok, mas poucas opções de restaurante e quase nada de lojas (área bem residencial).

The room was small( no problem) and extremely hot ( problem) . The lobby has air conditioning but the rooms do not. There was a fan that did nothing to help. Our room was in front so was crazy noisy and sweltering hot. No outlets near the beds, no outlet in the bathroom.

Hotel staff was not very eager to help with room issues. Was locked out of room several times due to room key issues. Location was ideal, but expensive for the quality of the rooms. Elevator was incredibly annoying.

We were given a basement room which was very noisy and musty. There was a dripping air con which took the edge off the stuffiness, but the room looked nothing like the photos. It did not smell fresh although it was clean.
The room is listed as a standard double but we were both hanging off the edge. Our shower didn’t work properly, we couldn’t use the overheard shower.
Location is great for Paddington and Hyde Park, and the reception staff were friendly, as well as housekeeping when we saw them.
Wouldn’t say this was even 3 star level, although we could have been unlucky with the basement room. Definitely won’t be staying here again.

Traveled with family (group of 9).
Rooms were clean and very close to the Paddington Station.
Breakfast was fine.
Negative:
Stayed during Europe’s heat wave, ac doesn’t work like in the USA.
Only 2 rooms had ac.
Elevator only allows for 2 people at a time.
The place is like à meza.
For a quick overnight I would stay again, but for a long stay probably not.
