We recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Llandudno and had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, making us feel valued throughout our stay.
The food was of excellent quality, with a good variety of choices available at each meal. Everything was well presented and very enjoyable.
Our family room was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with thoughtful amenities including a coffee machine, hairdryer, and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The facilities throughout the hotel were excellent and well maintained.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the outstanding sea view from our room. Having a balcony overlooking the beautiful coastline made our visit extra special, providing the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the Grand Hotel Llandudno to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation, great food, excellent facilities, and breathtaking sea views

The building is an old building and it is clear there is a continual update going on ,which takes time ,we've been moved twice in past visits because of rain getting in (usually very wet and stormy conditions ) but we have been re roomed immediately in these conditions and we are still coming ,we like the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff ,breakfast is always fresh and plentiful ,no complaints ,the rooms are dated but as I said previously its an old hotel and we like it coming ,wealready booked for an Easter visit

Absolutely shocking experience. This was one of the worst hotel stays we've had, and it certainly wasn't worth the £93 we paid.
The problems started as soon as we arrived. The lift was filthy, with rubbish, papers, and food packets scattered on the floor. It gave the impression that cleanliness is simply not a priority at this hotel.
Room 229 was no better. It had a horrible smell, was dusty, and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. We specifically booked a **double room**, yet what we got was two single beds pushed together and called a double bed. That is misleading and completely unacceptable.
The bathroom was disgusting. The metal fixture beside the toilet was heavily rusted, stained yellow, and looked unhygienic. It was unpleasant to even use the bathroom.
The room was unbearably hot, but the fan was so covered in dust that we refused to use it. On top of that, the TV picture quality was terrible. We wanted to watch the World Cup final, but the screen was so blurry it was almost impossible to watch.
Saying the hotel is "old" is not an excuse. Age does not justify poor hygiene, neglected maintenance, or misleading room descriptions. This hotel desperately needs investment, proper cleaning, and major refurbishment.
We feel completely let down and genuinely regret booking here. This stay was nowhere near worth £93, and we expect a full refund. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless significant improvements are made.

There was no daylight in our room, also the window only opened about the width of a finger. There was a hole in the bathroom door, you couldn’t close the curtains to keep the light from the opposite corridor. At breakfast they had loud music on, when my husband commented to the manager and one staff member about it, they took the micky out of him. Needless to say we won’t ever go there again.

Hotel is in great location, some things slightly dated in the hotel but great location. When booking ran reception and was just quoted price Expedia were offering, surely booking directly should be cheaper.

It was a nice place to stay the rooms were nice and clean the food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful
The rooms definitely need up grading and the house keeping could be better
No cleaning of the room during a four day stay had to ask for clean towels at reception and no bins emptied at all during our stay

Well let’s just say the grand hotel is not so grand any more!! Very poorly maintained. Dirty rooms. Don’t mind outdated but dirty is not for me. Shame as it could be such a lovely hotel and was once back in the day ! Unfortunately the owners have now let it go too far and it’s just a mess! Staff don’t really seem that interested in helping with any issues. Checked out after one night and moved hotels! The lily on the west shore was absolutely beautiful! Would definitely recommend the lily! Never ever stay at the grand again! Beware people I understand for cheap you don’t expect a lot but cleanliness isn’t about to ask for!

The hotel is extremely run down, we stayed 3 nights and our towels and bedding wasn't changed once. The staff were very helpful and the food was ok. Also when we stayed we had to park over 1 mile away as there's no on site parking. The location is great but beware even though we booked a sea view and the picture showed a balcony we only had a small window to look out of.

Our sea view room was clean and spacious. The bed mattress was a bit uncomfortable though. The bathroom was clean. Could do with a couple of armchairs in the room rather than wooden ones but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room as we were out and about most of the time. The breakfasts were good with a good choice to suit most people. We've been to the grand now about 8 times now and have honestly never had any real issues. Looking forward to our next visit.

I have stayed here a few times over the years and yes it’s never been the best place to stay. As they say you get what you pay for. So I thought after hearing about the multi million refurb I would give it another try. Yes the the reception area and main bar had new carpets and furniture and look good. I had room 317 (standard room) it should be recessed as bog standard with sea view. The phrase that you can’t polish a turd came to mind. If a lick of paint and new carpet is a refurb god knows what the other rooms look like. Bathroom door that won’t close without a push rusty radiator just painted over not even bothered to scrape the old paint off. The main bar closed at 7.30pm leaving only the ballroom bar open. So if you wanted a drink you had to go down stairs and bring it up to the main bar if you weren’t interested with what was going on down there. This was not very convenient for people with mobility issues of which there was plenty and moaning but nothing being done. As for the food not the best. Cheap and cheerful evening meal not much choice. Breakfast hard fried eggs well over cooked bacon and sausages which they just kept topping up by throwing the fresh out of the kitchen on top of the older food on the Buffett breakfast. No rotation whatsoever. No point in just refurbishing the structure of the hotel if you going to keep the same management and staff as nothing will ever improve on the hospitality side of things. Will I be staying here again. Definitely not.

Al llegar al Gran Hotel de Lladundo, nos entregan las llaves de la habitación número 220, una habitación pequeña, sin tina y sin las dos ventanas en las cuales se ve toda la playa.
* Reservé la habitación “STANDARD FAMILY 3 ROOM”, pero al llegar a preguntar porqué no me habían reservado la habitación que seleccioné y por la cual cancelé en su totalidad me dijeron lo siguiente:
* Que EXPEDIA postea las fotografías que no son las de las habitaciones que ellos le han enviado para promocionar.
* Que EXPEDIA, debe ser la responsable de hacerse cargo de vender habitaciones que ellos no tiene y qué ellos, no se responsabilizan de lo qué EXPEDIA le vende a sus clientes.
* Que todo reclamo no debe hacerse al hotel, sino a EXPEDIA, pues ellos dan las habitaciones que tienen.
* Que puedo decir o escribir, todo lo que ellos me expresaron, pues las fotografías que les mostré, no se parecen a la habitación que me proporcionaron.
* Que ellos en ningún momento, me han engañado, fue el sitio web de EXPEDIA, quien me engañó al no proporcionarme información verídica.
* Que si no estaba satisfecho con la habitación, el problema es de EXPEDIA por haberme proporcionado información falsa.
Me comuniqué con EXPEDIA, trataron de solucionar el incidente pero no lo lograron.
El dispensador de gel del baño no servía y la manguera de la ducha, tiene fuga y el agua cae en el piso.
El hotel se está desmoronando poco a poco, por fuera no le dan mantenimiento.
El agente de EXPEDIA merece una felicitación
