Rokot Airport (RKI) is the main gateway to the Mentawai Islands, off the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. It's a small regional airport, so check flight availability carefully and compare options on Traveloka before you travel.
Overview of Rokot Airport
RKI is on Sipora Island in the Mentawai Islands, West Sumatra. A new terminal and a runway extension to 1,500 metres, able to take ATR-72 aircraft, opened in October 2023 as part of the New Mentawai Airport Development. The airport mainly serves the Mentawai Islands' surf tourism industry, giving travellers a faster alternative to the multi-hour ferry from Padang.

RKI's main route is to and from Padang (PDG) on mainland Sumatra, a flight of under an hour compared to a 3-4 hour ferry crossing.
