Shanghai Pudong International Airport is about 30 kms from the city centre. If you need to get there, you’ve got a few options:

  • Taxi: Handy if you’ve got luggage or want a straight ride with no transfers.

When is the cheapest time to fly to Shanghai

March to May is the sweet spot for lower fares. You’ll enjoy mild weather, blooming gardens, and fewer crowds compared to summer. Airfares jump from June to August during school holidays and festivals, and late December can get pricey with New Year travel. To save, avoid these peak periods and book ahead for spring.
