The King Suite room was amazing, a real home away from home. Close enough to everything downtown by the harbor to walk. Staff was amazing, room was clean and kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything to cook meals during our 5 night stay.

We were in Victoria with our extended family for 2 nights. We had 3 rooms. Love the location, within walking distance of most of Victoria highlights. The pool, hot tub and sauna were a real hit. Breakfast at Floyd’s was a fun experience.

Overpriced for what you get. Our room was on the first floor. When we arrived to our room, we were met with a strong odour of cat pee and uncleanliness. We found the large first floor window wide open and two fans running around the room. The window had a light screen on it that was half falling out. The window would not lock shut - instead there was a piece of wood in the track to prevent the window from sliding open (which would work if the wood was long enough but it wasn’t and still allowed the window to be opened approximately 10 inches.) I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for accommodations.

Have been staying at the Royal Scot for decades and the location never fails to provide a quiet respite from the bustle of the main are of downtown Victoria. Fortunately this July weekend was cool for summer days as the lack of air conditioning in the hotel is often a drawback. It is nice to have the option of eating some meals in that the small but adequate in suite kitchenette allowed for that. Unfortunately, overall, the decor (from carpets through bathroom fixtures and counters, bedding, and couch) is quite dated as well as showing the wear and tear of an oft used hotel.

Property is older but well kept and maintained. The staff is very professional and very accommodating. The bed was comfortable, the room quiet and the location is supreme. I loved the fact they had an electric car charger. I didn’t use the amenities but checked out the weight room which wasn’t really attended to or functional. Recommend this hotel, but if I stayed again I would make more use of the safe in the room for valuables as an item of mine went missing.
