This hotel has retro 70s decor but I found it was very clean. Suites were very big. We had full apartment including balcony. Along with the pool, you can also play pool and shuffle board. We enjoyed Floyd’s Dinner that was in the hotel. Also nice location with reasonable rates compared to others.

We enjoyed our stay at Royal Scots. We appreciated the large rooms, the central location and the onsite breakfast restaurant. The only concern I would have for a summer visit is the lack of air conditioning.

Nice, centrally located, older hotel. Doesn't offer breakfast, but the diner next door does. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom excellent, but don't have AC or microwaves. A fan is provided, and you can open the window, but of little help when the window gets full sun on a hot day. The basement has a pool, games and billiard rooms, as well as a guest coin-operated laundry. Free coffee is provided in the lobby if, like us, you find the room coffee pods atrocious. If you arrive before check-in time, be sure to ask if the room is already available and, if so, they'll let you check in. Otherwise, check your luggage for free, so you can explore Victoria until lates.

Generally clean, although bathroom could have used more of a spruce as not spotless. Room was large although rather dated but the swimming pool was great. Location is excellent but the price for a no-breakfast room at this level with an additional parking charge was a bit on the high side.

The room was clean and quiet, which is very important. The staff at the desk were lovely and helpful as well. However, there is no (or at least not in my room) and air conditioning. Not a deal killer, but between the hot days and high humidity it made it a bit tricky to sleep in the heat. There were plug in fans that did help and lot of windows to open (suite 313) at least. Loved the proximity to the downtown and had a lot of fun walking around Victoria. The price was right, and I would still recommend this hotel.

The staff was very gracious and helpful! We inadvertently booked a check out day one day earlier than we thought; despite the mix-up, the staff reached out to us to resolve it, carefully packed up all of our belongings, offered us an extra room to sort everything and did not charge us an extra day. They handled it very professionally and caringly, which was much appreciated. This hotel is in a fantastic location, has plenty of parking and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We hope to return.

The room had a kitchenette which was a surprise. Nice to have a fridge. The toilet was very short and for someone with knee problems would have been an issue. No a/c in the room and wifi was hit and miss. Location was very central to the inner harbour.

This is a great little hotel, big rooms, friendly staff, but it is old and has no air con. Now thats its corporate owned i hope they keep the charm but do some upgrading /remodeling.
