The facilities and presentation of the hotel was excellent. Location is perfect.
Bedrooms comfortable and roomy.
Bar service very good.
Breakfast food was good but service was poor. Clearing tables all around was slow including our table.

What a wonderful hotel!! Gorgeous historic building which was beautifully clean throughout. We had a lovely, spacious bedroom complete with tea/coffee/tinned water, tv, iron and ironing board and a safe. Delicious buffet breakfast with plenty of choice - something for everyone. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff - we were provided with a map and some suggestions of sights to visit. Excellent location and parking were a bonus. Will definitely stay again when we visit Bristol!!

Terrible experience – not worth the money!
I really don’t know where to begin. The toilets were blocked and had visible stains. I booked two double beds, but they were nothing like proper double beds. The beds were so high that my child fell off while sleeping, got really scared, and started crying. The beds also made loud creaking noises with every small move – it was hard to sleep.
We were not told that parking was extra, and ended up paying £17 for one night. On top of that, we paid for breakfast but told we havent paid!
Overall, a big disappointment. For this price, you can find much better and newer hotels at the waterfront. Definitely would not recommend staying here.

The area the hotel is in is very central and good for getting about by foot. We thought it was pretty poor value for money though bearing in mind breakfast wasn’t included and we had to pay £51 over and above the cost of accommodation for the car park for three nights.
Our room was only cleaned once during our stay and when we returned to the room when it had been cleaned we were greeted with dirty glasses and rubbish from the room outside (see picture).
The final insult was awaiting a lift to take us from the 2nd floor to the ground floor when leaving. We waited for a while for a lift and when one finally arrived, the cleaner who was in it with a laundry cart came part out and went straight back into the lift without any consideration for us,
Will not be returning.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is old and in need of upgrades. We had to move because the wardrobe was infested with moths and were kindly given a small discount but we would rather have avoided the inconvenience. The rooms are hot but the air conditioning is poor and the windows open only a crack for security reasons. The parking lot was not well sign posted, mostly full and spaces scarily narrow. The was no door person, or dedicated concierge. Improvements are needed to make this hotel competitive with more modern hotels in Bristol.

If more than one family member is staying in different rooms then allow the main bill payer to pay it all once. Don’t make them pay for each individual room.
Also, it might be worth making sure that the tea facilities are clean.
At breakfast make sure that there aren’t any stray black hairs hiding under up turned cups.

Big hotel, great location, nice enough people. Adjoining room was very noisy for two of the nights, sounded like a hen party the first night and football fans the second night. Not ideal with a baby. Disappointed there wasn’t a pool, apparently they used to have one precovid and didn’t reopen after. Restaurant and breakfast was nice, room was clean and functional.

A beautiful well cared for hotel. the staff were very helpful and courteous. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful decor and the lovely room and bedding quality. the aroma/ scent along the corridor to my room was fresh and clean.
A very nice touch to have Easter bunny biscuits on Good Friday in the foyer. 🙂

An excellent hotel in the heart of Bristol literally opposite the Bristol Aquarium. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful hotel lobby and Palm Court. Plentiful onsite parking at £17 a night. Huge gym onsite too. Breakfast buffet was good. Our room which had two large double beds was very clean. Would highly recommend staying here and if I was to return to Bristol I would definitely stay here again.
