Wonderful stay, staff were very kind and friendly, room temperature was perfect, bed was comfortable and breakfast was fantastic

I enjoyed my stay … reception staff were amazing

We couldn’t get in our room early despite requesting it in advance for our daughter’s graduation ceremony. Fair dues though, reception were able to help and get us in early enough. We were grateful for their help given we were one of many requesting the same in Bristol University’s graduation week. Many thanks for your help.

Overall it is very good. Unable to get 5 star because of follows: 1, As a hotel of Marriott Group, there is no direct line to call Front Office/Reception in the room; 2, the shower tap is unable to adjust the speed of water flow. All in all, our stay was fantastic and feeling comfortable.

Hotel was fantastic. However breakfast was very mediocre at best and not worth the money - poorly cooked and not topped up. Seen more colour on a white wall than the sausages had. Also bar staff in the evening need to cheer up. Seemed like they was doing us a big favour by serving us…

Calm oasis from bustle of Bristol city centre. Welcoming front desk staff, attractive building and lobby area. Rooms are spacious and clean (Deluxe twin). All areas well maintained. Plenty of parking under hotel, definite plus for Bristol city centre hotel. 4* review (not 5*) due to only one lift working in one of the buildings, and multiple times had to wait several 'turns' as full with housekeeping staff and their laundry bins or equipment, guests were left waiting, not an issue if no bags bags and able to use stairs, but frustrating if that is the case. We were woken on one night by fire alarm and evacuation at 4.30am. It was for genuine reason, however the two staff on duty that we saw did seem to struggle with updating and organising guests to evacuation points. Front desk staff next morning had been briefed and gave an apology and explanation. Toilets on LG floor need more attention towards end of day as they were not the cleanest.

A good welcome stay. Just what was needed to relax in the evening and be refreshed in the morning!

We have stayed at this hotel four times now, and unfortunately, each visit seems to be worse than the last. What was once a hotel we enjoyed returning to has become incredibly disappointing. The biggest issue is the value for money. The hotel is significantly overpriced for the standard of the rooms and facilities. The entire property feels very tired and is in desperate need of a full refurbishment. The mattress was absolutely terrible and left both my partner and me with bad backs after our stay. On top of that, there is no air conditioning in the rooms, which made sleeping almost impossible during the recent hot weather. The facilities are equally disappointing. The gym has a noticeable damp smell, making it unpleasant to use, and the executive lounge offers a very poor selection of food and drinks that falls well below what you would expect for the premium price. On a previous visit, we even discovered silverfish in our room. When we reported it to staff, the response was simply, “Thanks for letting us know.” There was no apology, no sense of urgency, and no offer of compensation, which was extremely disappointing. Sadly, this hotel no longer lives up to the price it charges or the standards it should be delivering. Unless significant investment is made in upgrading the rooms, improving the facilities, and enhancing customer service, we won’t be returning.

Having paid for a reservation several months ago for two nights 24-26th June when I checked in I was told there was no room available. The receptionist claimed there was an IT issue but the hotel was very busy so clearly other people had been checked in. The apology was absolutely minimal, no compensation and no effort made to inform me in the days leading up to the reservation there was an issue. I found the whole experience highly unacceptable for a global corporation to behave letting me down in such an appalling way.

Had issues with power outage and back up was not available for couple of hours multiple times during the stay, everything else was ok.

It’s just not that nice. Our room which was a two bedroom apartment was very run down.

We had a small suite which was amazing, really comfortable and clean, just a small niggle here the Air Con was not working properly so it was very hot at night. Also in the part of the building where we were only one of the two lifts was working which meant waiting around a long time. We had breakfast in the downstairs dining room, which was adequate. The two staff down there struggled to keep up and they ran out of orange juice glasses, scrambled egg and a couple of other items. I think particularly on Sunday they should have an extra person it was certainly busy enough. The food here was not the best but adequate for a good walk around Bristol. The hotel was very clean and I would definitely stay there again.

From the moment we arrived, we were met by friendly and incredibly helpful staff. Check in was straightforward and seamless and the member of of staff was friendly. Lots of little extra touches in the room, due to it being a birthday celebration. A lovely, spacious and clean room. Will definitely stay here again as the location was perfect for wandering into the centre of Bristol and close to bars and restaurants.

The hotel was clean, check in easy, location was good (walkable). The biggest downside for the rating, air conditioning not worker for the 2 nights (room very stuffy), a small plan was provided.

Bien que nous avions bien vérifié que l'annonce mentionnait l'air climatisé dans les chambres, c'était brisé au moment de notre séjour, alors nos chambres étaient chaudes. Le personnel était plutôt sec et pas très aidant malheureusement.
