This hotel is currently “in the process of having a refurb”. Hotels.com does NOT state THAT on the website, so the photos on the website are completely misleading. That is not what you will get staying at this hotel. We were put into two rooms that were extremely old and tatty. The bathrooms had rusted fittings and old hair in them. Our aircon did not work. We immediately discussed it with the Supervisor and asked for a refund. He credited Hotels.com for the bookings - but only one room has been refunded to my family from Hotels.com. While we were discussing the awful rooms with the Supervisor, two other couples came to complain about their rooms. I feel bad for the front desk staff having to deal with this situation, when the Thistle Group needs to get this hotel completely refurbed before taking in guests. I will never stay in a Thistle Group hotel again and will not use Hotels.com after this debacle on our vacation. I asked one of the front desk staff if they would be happy to stay in that hotel with their family on vacation and they replied “No”. Pretty much sums up the mess this hotel is in! Yuck!

First room wasn't ready, second room outdated no usb charging sockets or power points by bed, tiles and grout in bathroom dirty and carpet could do with a clean or replaced.

Mohamed on the front desk made my problem(mistake) his own and was able to accommodate our stay. A wonderful ambassador for your company. Also noticed in the halls all the staff greet you, step aside for you( I would never ask that of them but did notice they do it. The room was amazing, that view is everything.

Perfect location, lovely hotel

Room was so tired. Every bit of furniture the varnish was peeling off and scratched. The bathroom was the worse though. Black mould in the sealant all around the bath

Great location and nice amenities. The rooms are small but comfortable beds and the personnel is super helpful and nice. I would stay here again!

Requested a high floor but was on the 1st. Self check in not good customer service and more suited to bidget hotels. Check out did not ask if a good stay. Did not get told about a wedding on sat night which prevented sleep. Room was dusty. Location, views, lobby and some staff were good.

Fantastic hotel in an amazing location with wonderful staff, let down by no toiletries other than huge plastic bottles of soap bolted to the walls, mini bar not stocked, and no tea making facilities. Great Nespresso machine but no sugar and no milk. Two bottles of water provided. Not enough.

Everything was perfect. Friendly staff. Clean room with a lovely view. Breakfast was delicious.

Location great, room was great with a lovely river view but breakfast wasn’t a great experience. Split across various rooms and corridors, all felt very disjointed. Asked for a different table after being seated in a small room that was hot and stuffy, moved to another small room which was very noisy. Food stations positioned along a corridor so hard to get around with people trying to get breakfast and others coming and going
