The Tower Hotel, by Thistle

The room decoration looked and felt very tired .. the carpet looked old and dirty.. the bathroom ceiling had mould coming through. The edging of the tiles was broken the sink had two cracks in it and a permanent slow flow of hot water coming out.. The towels had a really strong smell almost like a cooking smell like they had been left in a kitchen.. For the price we paid I expected a basic level of cleanliness. The breakfast was good.. The bathroom could do with a toilet brush .. in fact a new bathroom suite.

The staff were really helpful and everything was clean. The room was just tired and in need of decorating

The room was dated and dirty with the tiniest windows and NO hot water. I arrived late at night as a single female on a work trip and was sent to a room so far away from the lifts through a number of doorways and struggled to find it. When I called reception to let them know thissue re hot water they said i just needed to run all taps, which I had already done for 15 minutes. After half an hour jostling with reception, being told there were no other rooms I was moved to a new room at nearly midnight. This was also very dated and dusty, but with a bigger window and hot water I accepted the move as it was close to midnight and I needed to be up for work the next day. It was a twin room so the bed I tried to sleep in was tiny. I was not listened to or taken seriously, haven’t grown up in hospitality this is not the service I would have expected, particularly of a 4 star hotel. The only offer offer of compensation was the addition of breakfast which I had already declined on check-in as I had to be up and out early for work the next morning.

Lovely reception staff , room was comfortable and clean , very quiet , and a lovely view of the river , room was rather dated but it wasnt an issue with the price i paid.

The bathroom had as moldy behind the toilet and thee was mold in the shower! The room was small but the harbor view was very nice and of course the location perfect for our needs. The staff was Excelent!

I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a larger room however it only had twin beds which was a bit annoying. The amenities within the room were great and the bath and shower were amazing with good pressure and heat.

Excellent location The rooms especially the bathrooms are very very tied, but for £100 a night in London overlooking London Bridge, you can’t really complain, but I had no desire to eat there because of how poor the bathroom was.

Spacious clean room, staff friendly, perfect location

We just wanted to chill out for a couple of days but the noise from drilling and banging from workmen for most of the day on Friday and Saturday morning not happy.

The place was great, very convenient with the restaurant and the snack area with coffee and amenities. The only thing that was inconvenient was the Check in. Took us an hour after a long trip. The system was down or I don’t know what happened, but check in was at 3pm sharp and a long long line of people. The self check in was not available so that was very frustrating
