The Tower Hotel, by Thistle

Fantastic hotel in an amazing location with wonderful staff, let down by no toiletries other than huge plastic bottles of soap bolted to the walls, mini bar not stocked, and no tea making facilities. Great Nespresso machine but no sugar and no milk. Two bottles of water provided. Not enough.

Everything was perfect. Friendly staff. Clean room with a lovely view. Breakfast was delicious.

Location great, room was great with a lovely river view but breakfast wasn’t a great experience. Split across various rooms and corridors, all felt very disjointed. Asked for a different table after being seated in a small room that was hot and stuffy, moved to another small room which was very noisy. Food stations positioned along a corridor so hard to get around with people trying to get breakfast and others coming and going

Amazing location and views of the gorgeous tower bridge. Staff very friendly. Actual rooms need an update especially the bathrooms. The walls are also very thin and you can hear everyone. I would stay again just for the views and location.

The room was perfect, the request I had put in for a good room view was exceeded. Couldn’t have got better.

Hotel was very grand. We had a lovely visit and the staff in the hotel lobby were very friendly. Check in was easy and our room was ready earlier than expected. Although our room was quite run down and needed some touch up work completing, the beds were comfortable and the room was very spacious with good facilities. The only downside & the reason that the stay was not 5* was the way we were spoken to by one of the bar staff at the famous tower bar. We moved from the original table we were seated at to take advantage of the incredible view when a couple of tables nearby the window available. Given there were more of the same tables available with the view than we required and it was 10:30, after the last booking slot at 10pm we assumed this would not be an issue. We were however rudely shouted at across the bar area by a member of staff to tell us that if we had no booking we must move. This would never have been an issue if we were approached in the correct manner and the table was required. We did not appreciate the way this was dealt with and how we were treated afterwards by the same member of staff, whilst also remaining in the bar until before midnight to witness no new bookings enter. Overall 4* rating.

Location was great, hotel itself was lovely and the staff were very friendly.. Bedroom view was great. Hotel bathroom could do with a little TLC. We will definitely return.

Friendly staff, great location. Room was a bit basic and old fashioned, especially the shower. No mini bar which is fair enough but they could have still had fridges in the rooms. We like to have drinks and snacks etc in the room. To be fair they don’t advertise that they have a fridge but for the room rate you would expect it.

Hotel was excellent and view from the room was amazing. Only there for 1 night but would book again if coming back to London. My daughter loved it.

The bathroom , carpet and furniture can’t believe they still allow people to book this place.

The room was clean with a nice view over St Katherines Dock. Staff were helpful and accommodating.
