Cannot adjust room temp our room was so hot, they brought us a fan which helped, Did not have a coffee maker as advertised they said they didn't have enough for all the rooms, elevators where terrible so packed and took forever, and the stairwell smelled aweful

Upon arrival staff checked us in but were not forthcoming with information. Pointed and said breakfast is over there but actually breakfast was up the stairs on the UpperFloor. Rooms were a tiny bit worn and in need of a refresh. The windows looking out from the breakfast room needed a clean to be able to admire the view. Snacks and drinks to buy in reception were expensive, far better to walk 5mins to Tesco Express. Location is excellent for TowerBridge and St Katherine Docks. Restaurants and bars are within walking distance and even across the bridge there are some other options. Breakfast was ok but nothing exceptional just as you’d expect of a normal hotel. Decent times at the weekend from 0630-1030.

Rooms are in real need of renovation. Stained carpets, grubby bathrooms, mouldy ceiling, chipped bath, dirty walls , plug sockets not working well, stained bed linen. We had 2 rooms and both poor. The bar on the upper foyer is very nice and the location was convenient.

Our first room was filthy- the ‘cleaning rag’ was even left in the bathroom which turned out to be a dirty pillow case. Was moved to a different room and was told we would have that room for the remainder of our stay. However, was told the next morning we had to move and was left without a room for the day until after 3pm. The put up bed for my 7 year old was not in the room. Took us telling reception 3 times and it was eventually brought to the room at 8:30pm. Very outdated rooms and not as expected. Breakfast also not worth the money. Reception staff unhelpful.

There was work going on when we arrived! And had not been told about this. The room we was in was very small but had a fantastic view of the bridge. The tv didn’t work and the sink was blocked so brushing your teeth and washing your hands was a challenge. The bed was very comfortable but found it hard to sleep as curtains were not big enough for the window so light coming in from both sides and middle. Luckily we were only staying for one night . I had always wanted to stay there but I can’t see us ever booking it again.

The room was hot and we were told that hotel is ambient ac but they sent a portable cooling fan so that helped. View of Tower Bridhe from room is excellent! But the hotel is old with peeling paints on wood work and carpet looks old too. Staff is courteous and friendly. And it’s conveniently accessed via major public transportation.. But you can’t beat the price though

I loved the location of property. Accessible to London tower area and great river views. Rooms are large by London standards but entire property and rooms are very aged and elevators very slow. I think the property has not had a major renovation in 30+ years. Bring your own soap, shampoo and conditioner. No soap - only a combo shampoo and bath wash. All products very watery and cheap.

Price reflects the room. They upgraded us to a tower view room for free as we paid for 3 nights. The view was nice. The room however was 1990s. Old ripped carpet. No fridge. Drawers were old. Rusty bath chrome. Construction air hammers in lobby. Pros.... shower worked. Lots of hot water. Good food at restaurant but very expensive when you convert to Canadian $. Good view. Good elevators. Location is awesome....walking distance to many sites and the Tower tube to anywhere in city. Free water in your room.

The breakfast bar was pretty hard core! Omlette station, hot items, bread/toast/pastries, cereals, yogurt & fruit- this was big & plentiful. Excellent value! Location cant be beat! Right outside Tower Bridge, bus stop to all major attractions near by, tube near by... this hotel can be very local. The bed was gorgeous!! Curtains were heavy enough to block out light for a deep restful sleep. Cannot hear any noise from outside- best sleep I've had in months!

The tv in the room didn’t work. One of the lamps was broken. To use the cold tap you turned it on then had to turn it off again to make it work. There was marks all over the bedroom walls and on the windowsill. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here and the first time we have been disappointed.
