Kingsgrove Hotel

We had a great time on our stay. Wish they have a better tv. But highly recommended and definitely coming back. Great staff too

The Kingsgrove Hotel was a great place to stay. I chose it based on some pretty good reviews, plus it had its own ensuite. Proximity to the Railway station was another considerable advantage, as we were going to the football in Kogarah, it was a 20 minute train ride with a changeover near the airport. The food at the bistro was great too as well as the selection of drinks on tap. The rooms are adequately sized for a couple plus the new renovated bathroom was great. They also have parking on site and it’s so easy to get in and out of!!

Hotel was getting renovated, all we needed it for was sleep and showers.

Shower the water runs all over the bathroom that means only one person can be on a bathroom at the time. Also the smell when you first walk in is overwhelming after you turn the air conditioner on it does go away that is not good for hath

The room was fine, but the check in experience and the area around the hotel was less than stellar. I thankfully only had to stay one night, as I was heading to another city. I would not recommend it if you want to stay for any longer than a night or two. The only upside was the easy access to public transit

The most important requirement for my stay was access to public transit and cleanliness, and the hotel met those requirements. The train station just across the street which is a huge plus. There are several eating places in and around the area, Woolworth is just a few meters away. The hotel is working on finishing the elevators until such time one will have to use the stairs, and because of the on going construction work, there is a bit of noise but it did not bother me. Please note that this is a pub hotel, thus there is live music on some days, again none of that noise was a problem for me during my stay. I would certainly stay at this location if I happen to come to Sydney.

Value for money, convenient location, lovely recently renovated rooms.

Grat place to stay. Clean, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Surprisingly quiet, had a restful sleep. Will stay again.

There were works going on at the property, it wasnt noisy or anythingbut should be good when completed. One thing i missed was availability of breafast. Overall, it was comfortable be it a little small in the room

If it was dearer, it would be below average. You get what you pay for - nothing more, nothing less.

Friendly staff, yummy pub food at an easy convenience for lunch or dinner. Comfortable bed and clean facilities. Convenient and in walking distance to the train station. Would recommend and would be happy to stay again next time!

Kingsgrove Hotel is a pub/bistro with refurbished accommodation upstairs. The check in staff was lovely, she was fast and helpful. Room was basic, updated but on the smaller side although perfect for one night and location to airport (the reason I was staying) so convenient. Rain shower was hot, bed was comfortable, aircon and ceiling very handy as.warm summer's day. Although room was soundproofed there was music noise from downstairs until approx. 10.30pm (it was a Saturday night after all) but nothing to worry about. Lots of dining options nearby, plus a big supermarket right across the road. Had to move my car from the dedicated hotel car park due to my early 6am departure, grateful for the notice in the room that advised Kingsgrove's car park closed between 3am-10am. Easy, free street parking at train station opposite. Would definitely recommend staying there for easy train link into Sydney or if needing to be at airport early (international terminal is 8 min drive)

I understand that work is being done on accomodation - but @7.30 am male voices and manhole opened and I can see torchlight in the roof space above my room . It was unnerving . I spoke to 2 workman. And they helped close manhole.

I liked the hotel and would stay there again if i know they will not be having construction in a room just down from me. I was woken up b4 7am to hammering saws and impact drivers. The only notice i got about this was a sign on the door to the room when i arrived. I was not impressed.

Near the train station. Comfortable bed. Clean towels everyday. Will recommend.

Room very clean and nice.

The room looked newly renovated and was clean. However, it was way smaller than shown on the photos. With two suitcases and two small carry-on trolleys there was barely any room left to move around.

Not fully satisfied

Nice large room, and very close to public transport. Very quiet for hotel accommodation. Will be back!

Check in and check out time i think bad because 2 pm check in and 10 am checkout very poor timing i would say
