Excellent location on Banff Ave. It’s just before all the chaos of the shops, which is great. 10-20 minute walk to all the restaurants, shuttles are close, Bow Valley River trail is walkable. Rooms and bathrooms are large. Only “cons” would be that the rooms surround the parking lot, which amplifies sound and the room decor is quite dated. Beds are very comfortable, however.

We always stay at the Charlton. It's usually cleaner but otherwise its always the best place to stay in Banff. Best for a couple and not a family.

This property was very out dated and the beds were very uncomfortable. Lighting was poor inside the unit. No dinning on site, all amenities to be used at another property which made it very inconvenient. Staff was nice but that doesn't make up for the 600.00 plus dollar night to sleep in a room that you would expect to find at a hostil.

The room was spacious and comfortable, though the style felt a bit dated. Unfortunately, the sink was clogged and the metal shutter wasn’t working when we arrived, so we had to call maintenance. Thankfully, the staff were extremely kind and helpful, and I really appreciated all the local tips given at check-in. For a short 2-night stay, it was a bit disappointing that the room wasn’t fully ready. On the bright side, there’s plenty of parking and it’s an easy walk to the center. Keep in mind that free parking in downtown Banff is quite limited.

We had a renovated room with a mountain view which was very nice. The cleaning staff were also very good. However this is NOT a hotel as there is no bar or restaurant. That didnt particularly bother us as Banff is awash with them. We took a bit of time to reserch a hotel and wanted one with a pool, which has now been closed for months. If we had known this before booking we would not have booked. Its a bit of a liberty to still charge the full tariff, but the hotel wasnt interedted in compensating us. The offer of using the pool in the sister hotel was more like a big bath, no way vould you be able to actually swim in it. Banff is expensive so we chose this hotel as it was a bit cheaper, but without the pool it was a bit disapointing.
