Clean comfortable room, good location

Great location and easy to walk to restaurants and shopping!

Ada at the front desk was so kind to me, she made checking in/out a breeze and she went above and beyond to make my stay feel welcome. I have stayed at a few hotels in Banff, but this is the best from customer service and cleanliness!

This hotel is very old. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from adjacent rooms. No staff overnight to regulate noise, partying etc. parking is paid on top of $400 room rates and can’t accommodate SUV with roof box, so there is 3-4 available spots. Hot tub jets out of order, doors were sticky everywhere, elevator was sketchy. Beds were old and sacked out. Hot water and water pressure were good for showers. Don’t expect a luxury $400/night Banff experience. Keep your expectations very low as to not be disappointed. Anywhere else this is a $75/hotel room.

I had a great time here and enjoyed my stay. I got the king two-level loft and enjoyed that. Fireplace nice touch. Pool was in good condition. Property is a little older but value for money I was happy.

It is fully equipped for cooking. Super convenient location!

The room with spotless when we received a free upgrade and the front desk staff were very friendly.

The guy who greeted was not very nice. He didn't point us to the elevators. He just pointed Us to where the room was and pointed us to the stairs. We took the stairs all the way up to the 3rd floor. I had my mom with me who is a senior so it was very hard on her knees. Otherwise the room was nice, clean and spacious.

We appreciated being able to check in early, which was a nice start to our stay. However, our key card wasn’t working, and we had to go back and forth to the front desk multiple times to report that we couldn’t get into the room. Since it was very cold outside, this became quite inconvenient. On the third attempt, we asked a staff member to come and check the door directly, and after resetting the code, we were finally able to get in. The location is very accessible, which we liked. That said, it would be much better if there were an on-site restaurant. Guests are currently directed to a sister hotel, which requires a bit of a walk not ideal during cold weather. Overall, a convenient location with helpful staff once the issue was addressed, but improvements to room access and on-site dining would make the experience much smoother.

Great! Upgraded to a lovely room

Room was very loud. You can hear everything happening outside and in the rooms beside you, it is quite unsettling. The photos are definitely more flattering than the property is in person. Overall not terrible, but not notably nice. The pool is very outdated and was not very clean (floating stuff in the pool, muddy and dirty footprints surround it) with no designated place to really shower or get dressed. The part about this property that is the biggest make or break was that it’s a mostly outdoor property. To get to your room (this might depend on where you are located on the property) you have to go outside to get to the front desk or the pool. This can be a huge downside if you are on the far end and it’s dead of winter when you are going from pool to hotel room. We had to run in the freezing cold while soaking wet from the pool because there is not a clean and dry location to shower and change in the pool area. It also means if you need to run to the front desk and there is a blizzard you might have to sacrifice a toe or two. The parking is not included ($15/day) which is not horribly expensive, however it is almost necessary because there is very limited street parking. Just something to keep in mind. Overall a solid 3/5. A solid stay if you can get it for the right price and you are prepared for the lack of amenities.
