Room was clean and staff were very helpful and nice. Short distance walk to all Rideau Canal and Government buildings.

The staff were fantastic when we checked. The guy I was dealing with was extremely helpful. It St. Valentines evening and we couldn't have had a nicer room.

Staff are friendly, helpful and courteous.The hotel is central located. The free breakfast is a plus and out of this world. Laundry room opens 24/7 with free detergent & fabric softener. We enjoyed our stay there , the 2 nights went fast. I’ll definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I’ll stay here again when I come back to Ottawa.

All the great amenities; the extra large TV, the computer, and printer; great breakfast options; the sleep sound maker, whirlpool tub, only negative would be the small elevator

Bad points: Carpet is old. Pillows are too high. AC is noisy, corridor is noisy, I spend lond time to check in woth dirty entrance. Breakfast restaurant is small and untidy. Elevators is slow and not enough for number of residents. Good points: Rooms area is not bad. Furniture is old but solid. They have everything you need ( microwave, stove, boiler, small coffee machine, sink, iron, safe, computer and printer and television) It seems that system on the computer is outdated or employees are not trained on it. I felt I live in the 90’s. The Architecture who designed the hotel lobby deserve to evacuate his license. Without the great location, and that level of service they would have been out of service. Long story short: location of a great hotel and service and finish level of motel.

The room size was perfect for a family of five and the breakfast was delicious and had a variety of options.

It was a good stay, but I had a few issues that prevented it from being a great stay. PROS: friendly front desk staff; great location; large, comfortable room/apartment; I was upgraded to a one bedroom although I booked only a studio; large bathroom; clean and tidy; breakfast looked great - I’m just not a breakfast person, so only had coffee CONS: dated decor; loud heater in bedroom; pillows were on the too-large/too firm side; no evident instructions on how to use things - I arrived just in time to watch the third period of the women’s Olympic hockey game and messed around with both TVs and remotes for the entire period, while trying to watch the game on my phone, only to realize the hotel doesn't even offer regular cable service. I finally signed into my own TSN account on the TV, only to have the connection come in and out for the entirety of the OT period. I had been SO pumped to sit and watch this game in my room, only to be disappointed. There was no time during an exciting game to be calling the front desk for support. Simple TV/remote instructions would’ve been useful, as would a strong connection; Final CON was the outlet in the washroom. The blow dryer blew the fuse after 5 minutes and I couldn’t get it back on no matter how much I pushed the reset button. I had to bring everything into the bedroom to finish getting ready. These are not major issues, but were super annoying in the moment.
